Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

detailed a neighbor`s son`s badly neglected 2001 camaro. the inside was left partially exposed to the elements for years and will require a full interior strip to make it good again. i worked the exterior with megs M105 and finished up with megs D151 to make it presentable again. the chrome wheels are still badly corroded, but look better.

Well, too cold to do anything at home, what the heck...head to work and take a shot at the abused 115k mile, 2009 GMC construction/plow truck:

    What we`re working with:

    Nasty clay:

50-50 after FG400, LC blue hydrotech pad

After HD Speed, LC white flat pad; finally got to try HD Speed after having it on my shelf for 5 months.

    Done with front fenders/hood anyway

Its gonna be a long winter.

Finally had a chance on Saturday to wash the wife`s car - it was filthy! Used CarPro`s HydroFoam as the LSP - impressive stuff. Probably the first "Wash N` Wax" type product that I could actually tell left a layer of protection behind.

Ps - too much vignetting around the photo edges? Or ok?

Pics look good, so don`t worry. But that stuff washed off some of the license plate......

Darn! You`re right. I should have used a PTG on the plate first

Per your advice, I did my best to avoid HydroFoam from getting on the glass - but some did get on the windshield = spots!

Did the final touches on this mustang I`ve Been working on the last couple of days that hadn`t been cleaned in any way in a year. Wish the weather would cooperate so I could get decent pictures. Maybe tomorrow. I wanna see it shine in the sun. Such rain,,,, much disapoint. What did you do detailing wise today? but it`s still clean as hell

Now where is that three monkeys gif? LOL

Guess that`s how you afford the insurance on that `merican sports car huh?

    On another note....
Got CarMomma a new "business in the front, party in the back" Cruze hatch last week in metallic blue. Had to go north of Birmingham to find one, (next closest one was north of Clearwater) with EVERY available option. Managed to decon/IronX snow foam it, Nanoskin it, AND buff it out then put a down n dirty coat of DP coating on it till I can do a final polish on it with Menz 4000 and the total GTechnig line top to bottom, front to back. I`ll try to u/l some shots from my phone of the first go round.

Took it last week to get the full Huper Optik ceramic treatment. Put 40 in the front, 20 in the back and sunroof, 15 in the little corners, and 70 on the windshield.
    Later, Cardaddy / aka Tony
