Looks great Ray, how many passes of HD Speed and at what speed per section? I think i`m finding myself making too many, hence taking me longer to finish a vehicle. Product has such a long work time I get carried away without realizing it.

Thanks. 3 passes with the 15ES and 2 passes with the 75ES (I used more aggressive blue Cool Wave pads on the 75ES). It is easy to get carried away because machine polishing is sort of therapeutic and fun. But during a test spot I try and figure out the least amount of possible passes to get great results, then I focus hard on sticking to those number of passes so I can work as efficiently as possible. The 15ES was usually on speed 4 and the 75ES on speed 3. The paint on this Toyota was hard too btw.

Yeah I definitely "jewel" the paint when i`m done with passes and then remind myself I need to move. I often do 4 PLUS a very light one or two and that`s what`s killing me.

What did you do detailing wise today?

Scheduled this for tomorrow. Foam bath, wheels, wax interior clean and leather conditioning.

Oh boy...good luck on those wheels! I`d recommend a good nights rest and a solid breakfast.

Refilled all my sprayers and squeeze bottles from gallon containers last night. Spilled BFWDAFPP on my hand (should`ve used Griots Garage Dispensing Spouts) and on the sink. Scrubbed my hand and sink with dawn and APC for what seemed like several hours.

My left hand still smells like BFWDAFPP.

I`ve found rubbing a slice of lemon on my skin will remove whatever lingering odor remains after washing with soap and water. Give it try, Vega!

Thanks Mary, not a problem :

You can get a whole pack(20 brushes) of assorted sizes and shapes for precision application for less than $10 at Amazon .

And this is the specific one I used for this task. The black tip on the bristles is part of the design.

Only a TINY amount touched the paint, but that was my fault for using more product than I should have.
