Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

I washed my wife`s Elantra Limited and gave it a thorough vacuuming. The wheels and tires were cleaned and treated with Wolfgang and Pinnacle products and I must say they came out great. Once dry, the exterior received a complete wipe down using a spray car wax.

    Products I used:

    • Duragloss #901
    • Wolfgang All Purpose Cleaner
    • Wolfgang Über Wheel Cleaner
    • Pinnacle Black Onyx Tire Dressing
    • Pinnacle Crystal Clear Glass Cleaner
    • Wolfgang Cockpit Trim Sealant
    • Duragloss Aquawax

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

after a week of SANDY the xterra was a bit dirty. saturday was too cold to even think of washing. sunday was much better. normal wash/detail and finished with a coat of BF polymer spray. so far the BF products seem to be working fine in protecting the finish.

and moved all my products to a heated basement in prep for the comming freezing temps. (put this off as long as i could).

I ended up washing a load of microfiber using Blackfire Microfiber Cleaner. It works nicely with just 2 rinses and no need for vinegar step.

It is currently around 40 F here but should be above 70 F.

The goal today is to do a bucket wash on the Dakota and possibly apply a coat of Mothers Spray Wax.

Also, I will be shopping for a 35mm f 1,8 lens for the Nikon and looking at a Nikon 12-24 f4 zoom as well.

Already washed my car. My mom is coming to visit and will do hers later. Trying to get a Pinnacle Liquid Souveran model for the early afternoon.

Tomorrow`s forecast is to turn cold and stormy.

The weather here today is gorgeous, Al. Woke up early to finish a Lexus LS 460. Left BFWD on overnight to cure. Removed that and put a coat of BFMS on. Finally done after 2+days.

It was nice here too. The temp topped out at 54 degrees with bright sunshine.

I was in New Jersey and New York for a few days and drove down in the snow and sleet. The hurricane destroyed that entire area and the damage is widespread.

My new Jeep got a wash, vacuum, glass, and Duragloss Aquawax the exterior for a rich glossy shine....

This morning I applied a coat of Dodo Juice Purple Haze Pro to the paint and put some Blackfire crystal seal on the wheels

Great weather in Dallas. Completed detail of co-workers Audi. Write up and pictures to come later in a post. It sure is easier and faster with an adult helping!

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

It was perfect day here in NC with sunny skies and temps in the low 70`s.

After cleaning the interior windows on my daily driver (goal to wash tomorrow), I ended up washing the Dakota with my Race Glaze wool mitt with Pinnacle XMT soap (1 oz per gallon) on the paint and CG Glossworkz on the tires/wheels. Pinnacle is a well balanced soap: sustaining suds but not excessive, good lubricity, rinses nicely, and cleans well.

I also experimented with Do Do Juice`s Time to Dry Detailer (a review coming) then finished up using Mothers Spray Wax on the paint. It is as easy to apply as many detailers and has legs (durability beyond the next wash). I did the jambs with CG Speed Wipe. I will do the tires/wells and glass tomorrow.
