of course it rained 15 mins after i finished cleaning up a neighbor`s buick, i thought that was standard operating procedure for detailing. at least the optima acrylic spray wax is beading well.

What did you do detailing wise today?

So I used the rupes soap I got on two cars this morning didn`t get pics of the 300c but I did of the vette

Nice shine on both but I`m wondering if it`s more like a rinse less wash as it didn`t stay sudsy but it sure has lots of lubricant to it. Also it works better to dry without a drying aid, when I used a drying aid it kept streaking and would buff out well

Would I buy this yes but only for personal vehicle or for a high paying regular customer but not for average car wash

That is the way the soap is designed to be with little to no suds. The Rupes soap with no wax is the same way.

I clayed for the first time today using the blue Clay Magic bar and ONR. I was very impressed by how smooth the paint felt after the first pass. Thanks to autopia for all your tips; I cut the bar in half only using one of those halves and as I cleaned up I put it back into a ziplock with a few sprays of QD to keep it from drying out.

Washed the wife`s car this morning. She has been working long hours and weekends so I don`t get many chances to wash it now. Up at 4am, started washing by 4:45am, done and back inside at 6am and at work by 7am.

Cleaned my roommates headlights. There was really bad etching and only had 500-2000 sand paper. The sanding disks in the 3M kit I had didn`t see to work to good either. How much more aggressive could I go with this or are they just shot. He likes them. They are better than when I started. I`m just curious if they could get better, with starting out with a more aggressive sanding grit.

Gave my truck a thorough coating of Meguiars express wax. Had to wipe off all the streaks from Meguiars all season dressing running down the door panels during the rain. Gave my wife`s Durango and good wiping with Sonax Brilliant shine detailer. Her Durango also had the Meguiars all season dressing running down the door panels
