Earned some brownie points by erasing several years worth of automatic car washes from my wifes DD (car was used when we bought it and I think they cleaned the snow off with a rock)

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

First decon of my new SUV, plus a badly needed thorough wash.

Packed up and ready for battle

My weapons: Cobra mitt, Nano mini towel, Opt. Clay.

First up, wash all crud off. Must have sat on the lot, dirt in all crevices.

Used a foamgun, micromitt on an extension pole that I would dip in rinse bucket with both GGs.
solid cleaning in the mid range.

I really liked the foam of Cleanslate, did not remove all the car lots wax.

Wanted to take my time, try to remove as much as possible, so I used Glide and

Wash off mitt in 1/2oz Slate to gal. Water then rinse bucket. Backward but wanted only Glide to wipe off.
Tight areas I tried the mini towel & clay

Mini towel was much easier and I could wrap it around or
Into areas. The Cobra mitt was by far my fav. It would hold liquid in it`s foam body, soft, flexible, nice product.
The 2 combined made an unbeatable pair.

I only had time to foam once more, no wax or sealant.
So I picked this for the Q2M properties

4oz. Of Gyeon Bathe, Foam was not as thick as
    CGs Slates 4oz.
As I sprayed I could see the paint coming to life, as the Q2M did its thing. I then blasted it with water like the
Wetcoat, for good measure, then a nice shower rinse.

Paint is smooth, and should hold till I take a week off end of Month to give her everything I have been selecting for her.

Gyeon Bathe+ definitely isn`t a foamy soap. However, foam != lubricity or cleaning power. Bathe+ really excels at maintenance washes when you want to lay down just a little more coating.

Did you charge for that 650? I find myself doing a fair amount of "pro bono" work for friends... Or at least bartering cigars or bottles of wine....

i don`t charge friends or family. i`m fortunate to be retired in one piece and enjoy paying it forward. many will still give a gift card, etc. to help replenish supplies though.

I did like them both, Slate was foamy, and smelled clean so i filled my foamgun again but as I foamed & scrubbed I could see the beading of wax, not a CLEAN SLATE.
Bathe + was pure luxury. silky, slick foam. I`ll be watching to see how the Q2M holds up this next 2 weeks. The cobra mitt smoothed the paint but Bathe+ brightened it.
Out of the 2 shampoos I`ll most likely buy more Bathe+
