Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

Started on this van last night.

The interior smells horrible. All of these pictures are after I pulled a garbage bag full of fast food bags from the interior. I couldn`t stand the smell before taking any pictures. He`s also a heavy smoker judging by the ash tray and the interior is coated with tobacco.

Yes...that`s mold and it`s all over the interior.

On the bright side, this should make for some great before/after pics.

    Write-up coming soon.

This page shows my favorite types of details, the one`s where the cars require a lot of love. Who cares when a shinny new car gets a coating?! Cars that have aged not so gracefully really test the skills and bring about the biggest changes.

I`d charge him $20, just for making me wear a face mask let alone a respirator.

Wow Ray. Good luck. Don`t get hepatitis or something I need you to take my money soon, lol

I honestly can say I`ve turned down more of those than I care to take myself these days.

Last time I did one I was sick for a week afterwards.

Definitely charge extra for a resporator, lol

I look forward to the Rayview.

I also forgot to mention nitrile gloves and at least safety glasses.

havent touched it..work cut out for me to get pbl ready here...

And my go mango hellcat now wants csl so i gotta call tomorrow and see how much to overnight. 3 day connect wont be enough, lol. Never thought id have that problem.

Well he actually said he wants that coating but if i cant get it in time hes still dropping it off monday evening. This is the car that turned into a hellcat when it arrived as a secret he was keeping after ordering it 6 mths ago.

He will have me just wax it for now, he said "...no problem driving there, you`re the only one I trust" made me feel warm and fuzzy inside , haha

probably less than 1k miles , maybe not even broken in yet

Might be looking for wax suggestions soon

Not what you would call "detailing" but I wanted to see how well they mixed the spray bomb for my truck. No prep, just a grins and giggles kind of thing. Spot on match!

The bad spot started at the beginning of the bed. Whenever I gather all supplies, I will make a thread on how to do it.

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

decided to go rupes blue compound with my uhs pads. I remembered reading if you needed a tad more cut you could do that and in a lot of cases it is 1 step ready. i got almost all of the rids uhs combo wasn`t cutting into on the hood and fenders. And it looks coating ready to me.

but even in a garage 70degrees, i still work super slow- lol

Still have drivers side to do and bumpers

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

very neat looking Don, nice set up.

I gave the Nissan a 2B Wash with 3D Pink Soap, and the FK1000P is still going strong so i just air dried with Sidekick then topped with D156. Driver side tires have PERL and passenger side have BF Gel , i`m seeing how they compare with one another and so far Perl goes on shinier and spreads quicker while BF is a bit less shiny and needs to be worked in more. Durability has been the same so far, when i sprayed them with water it all beaded up nicely after 6 days of daily driving and some showers.

Disregard the 10293102938109812093810 Pine Needles all over my driveway, it is non stop ,and basically pointless to sweep them all the time.
