Where I am now, no hose washing after 8:30am or so during the summer due to the sun. The garage faces southwest so a lot evening sun.

Same here. My garage gets way too hot inside to do anything detailing related in the summertime.

    Lol, for some yes

I was really referring to the times the sun is not blaring on my wash area

Before 7am would be my choice as well, my driveway is getting hit with Sun by 10am already.

Let me know how that AC works , I have an LG unit in my bedroom and it works well. Are you going to hook the exhaust hose to your dryer vent? My unit seems to have a larger OD hose than the dryer`s.

If it`s a single hose model, and you`ve never used one before, be aware that they create a vacuum, so if your garage door is not air tight you`re gonna have hot air being sucked inside which will mess with the efficiency of it. I had to add weather strip to my bedroom door and tape off the central AC vents because hot air was being sucked into my bedroom at a fast rate and making the unit work harder since the room was warmer more often.

Yes i need to seal the door better for sure. I have a friend (dieselwrench on here) that is going to help me. He grew up doing ACs and I think we have to cut a small hole in the wall for the drain, right?
Well, thats why I found someone who knows what theyre doing anyways.

Nah no need for holes in the wall really. I leave my drain open and got a plastic extension I threaded on there ,then threaded a 90 degree elbow (one side female to thread on extension and other side with a plastic hose adapter) and hooked a clear flexible hose leading to a large piece of Tupperware that I only need to drain a few times a week or sometimes daily depending on humidity. I`ll take a picture and post it in a few moments.

Since yours will be in the garage, I`d use a bucket to hold the water and that`ll buy you more time in between disposing of it which takes a few seconds.

Getting a project dropped off early is awesome. Gives you more time to make the customer that much happier. Have fun! And I can`t wait to see that purple sparkle.

    Here`s my setup:

Notice the unit is sitting up higher to allow proper gravity for water to just drip on the bowl. You could set your unit up on something sturdy (the unit may shift a tiny bit here and there gradually due to compressor kicking on and off, doesn`t happen often) and slightly wider than the unit`s size, then have a bucket catching the water right underneath it. This way you won`t have to worry about drilling holes through your garage wall at all PLUS you can relocate the unit to any corner/space whenever you feel like it. See if you guys can insulate the exhaust hose as well (with some heat retardant fabric or similar) because it gets hot, which adds up to affecting the efficiency.
