Polished and recoated the hood on my moms Subaru. The coating failed in just 9 months, noticed it when I was home in March for my grandpa`s funeral.

Well, the coating that failed was PBL v2. I`d intended to recoat with gloss coat but I lost the blue tip to apply to an applicator. So, more PBL v2 it was, since I had it.

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

Today I tried my Pinnacle glass twins, so cleaned then clay toweled windshield, Eraser wipe down, 4in. CGs Green pad with Polish Angel MP, basic cleaning not correcting, went over 2nd try still did not seem right, polish kept flashing over too fast.
Had to use Eraser to remove it everytime. Cleaned it up with the PCC glass cleaner. That was good stuff PCCGC. Sealed 2x with PGS. Loved it !

While it cured 10/15min. I started on driver side, the new light helped

I could see where I had splatter marks on driver window from me learning what not to do with M105 a year ago. So I didn`t like the PA this time I tried Rupes Diamond & orange pad 2x nothing. PBs #1 & yellow, better. PBs #2 & 3in. Grey Force pad, Bingo. Did back 2 windows, cleaned & sealed. Glad this stuff is not a coating so I can redo soon. While it cured I carefully taped around glass & started on the 2 doors, think thats backwards ? But wanted to try 2 comps. & 2 polishes
    Driver got

    Back door got

Also tried some pads I made

Pads worked great, couldnt get in handle, so pulled it off, did by hand.
Both BriteMaxs Promax & Restomax worked great, easy lets you work it, no problems, LC pink CCS then a white CGs Quantum which I want many more of. Love em.

Both Scholls S3 & S30+ where perfect, scent, cut, easy, long long work time. Really liked them. LC Pink CCS then CGs white hexlogic. Sealed up with Maxshine.

I am ready for a new DA that Torq10 is annoying I kept bumping the small buttons, sometimes off or too high.
The little one TorqX is good though.

Very nice Mary!!! Looks like you have so much detailing equipment!

I visited my wife`s sister and her husband`s family for the holiday weekend. Rinselessed washed their vehicles and cleaned the interior just to help them out.

Thanks alot, I`m trying to do this right, and having a blast !
I will be helping out some work buddies when I get back, they will be splitting up some of my older supplies I got pre-forum.
1 has a black swirled up ford, 1 `12 grey Hemi- Chrys. would be a rockstar with work. 1 has a used fullsized pick-up and heavy contam.

Spent a few hours doing a wheels off coating on all the wheels for this 2015 Impala. Tires were coated with 2 coats of DP Tire Coating. Also cleaned the felt wheel well liners with a brush, DP Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner and protected with 303 Fabric Guard.
