detailed a neighbor`s 2012 buick regal and gave it a coat of hd poxy. didn`t let it set up for 45 mins this time like on my own truck and it wiped off a lot easier after 15 mins. I do like the finish it leaves.

Played around with some different pads and compound(s) with a cyclo on the daily beater. Half of the hood looks pretty good now...

    Thanks
Absurdly smooth machine (especially compared to my old 7424xp) one hand is basically just along for the ride.
Not the quickest thing but surprisingly well balanced compared to how it looks. 4" pads also go nicely into tight areas (behind washer spigots etc)
I`m pretty happy with it`s operation (yeah it`s not a long throw and doesn`t have tonnes of torque but....)

Uber Rinseless with WG Liquid Seal as a drying aid then topped off with newly purchased Adam`s Detail Spray to try it out. Don`t like the smell too much (smells like someone barfed up a strawberry milkshake) but boy is this stuff super slick. Dust repellency and appearance to be determined over next few days.

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

I see there is a thread on someone that detailed their new Garden Tractor, well I just cleaned my old one up on Thursday. It hasn`t even been washed since 2007 even tho until this winter it has been in storage since 2008. We have owned it since fall of 84 and it has mowed a lot of grass moved a lot of snow and even rototilled a fair number of gardens.

Well it was time to take off the snow blower and mount the mower so before putting the mower on I thought I would clean up some. I got out the PW and foam gun with some CG CW&G along with a good dose of Megs APC and gave it a decent cleaning. I did the top of the hood with FG400 and a MF pad and then did the whole thing with a 4" blue hydrotech pad and Essence topped with reload. I cleaned and applied some Tufshine coating to the tires and was done. Like normal I never did take any before pics and didn`t plan to take any after but when I went to put my car in the garage I took a few with my cell. It came out good enough I now am thinking of getting the hood repainted. Also it is 100% original including the 32yo tires. I also ordered the missing hub cap.

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

Over the past two days, I did a full decontamination (iron-x, tarminator, clay), a light polish to strip the myriad of LSP`s from the winter face off (except the Uber-ceramic-coated-hood), and applied a beautifying wax (for a change).

This anonymous LSP made the flake pop like I`ve never seen before. The paint looked like a sandy beach made of diamonds and chrome (just stunning)!

Below you can see how contaminated the paint was. It was like this just about everywhere and in some places, it was worse.

    Below is
after one week of daily driving (rained 3 days out of the week)

    The finished details up close...

Not too dirty today, so I got out the BF waterless wash and cleaned off the Tesla and Highlander. Used my 16x16 edgeless Eagle towels from Rag Company. WOW.

I used CarPro`s Essence on a couple panels of my wife`s ride. Did a great job of removing brutal water-spotting. Gloss is outstanding, followed up with RELOAD. I`m very pleased with what I saw given the amount of effort

I got out early while it was still cool and washed my wife`s 2016 Escape. I used CarPro Reset shampoo in a foam gun. This was my first wash with Eley`s (the hose reel folks) swivel valve. It`s heavy but I like how it reduces the number of knots and kinks I have to fight during a wash.

My family and I went to my mother`s for breakfast, and when we got home I washed my van`s wheels, tires, and wells.

First hand wash of 2016! I know it would drive most crazy, but anytime it was warm it would be raining.
