Late night waterless wash in the garage last night ,then topped with D156 . It was 10:30 pm and i was sweating bullets in there, i guess summer is now officially here in TX. At least we had a Spring this year so i got to feel what that was like this time around.

Grabbed some of the kids to help clean the interior - they vacuumed, I ONRd the interior. Will have to say it looks better in both vehicles with all the trash my teens leave behind no longer in the SUV.

a friend was excited to show me his new 2016 gmc canyon pickup that he drove up and back to no. ga. to get yesterday. since im still 2wks post op, I told him he would have to wait a few more weeks until I can correct it and coat it for him. i did give it a quick coat of opti seal just to give it some protection until then. the drivers side mirror reflected the sky onto the left front fender in a pretty bizarre way in the pic.

    2015 Toyota Tacoma Offroad

This customer was a referral from the Acura job. He wanted the same thing as in wash, decontaminate, Iron X, clay bar, and sealant. In addition to remove emblems and headlight restoration for his retrofit headlights he purchased. The main focus was to remove all the deep scratches on the headlight because the customer paid a pretty price for them. I took a look at the headlight and knew I had my work cut out for me.

Started off with removing emblems. Heat gun, plastic card, adhesive remover, polish

    Total time: 8 hrs 18mins

What I learned from this job:

adhesive remover can stain single stage white paint

truck tires takes more time and effort to get an even finish with tire gel due to grooves

passenger headlight took longer to polish out sanding scratches compared to driver side even though same products and techniques were used.

That sums up this project. Feel free to contribute or comment. Thanks for viewing.

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

Between last night and this night I detailed my two best friends cars

White Camry got wash, spot decon, hood corrected, spot scratch removal, BF Crystal Seal

Dark blue Outlander got wash, decon, hood corrected, glaze(MEGS 7 cause no time to polish whole thing), Nattys blue, light interior clean up

Sorry no pics, finished too late to get any.

Also so removed some scratches on my moms CX-5 by hand because area was to small to use buffer in
