Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

Did yet another quick wash to the Jetta and promptly parked it in the garage. Supposed to be some bad storms today, so it`s staying in there.

Somehow with the the junk in the garage it fit (still in the midst of remodeling, tools and lumber everywhere).

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

After spending the prior weekend doing my spring detail. I ended up with a coat of Blackfire Wet Diamonds and then Blackfire Midnight Sun. I went up to Virginia (near the Blue Ridge Parkway) and ran into 32 degree weather and snow. I had to follow (at a distance) a DOT truck blocking both lanes dropping salt and sand.

To make matters worse, I could not get up the driveway (stopped part way) due to the snow compacted into ice so lost traction. I ended up having to shovel the driveway. I got mud in the wells, ice compacted in the front, etc. but overall it stayed clean thanks to the protection.

    Products used:

Blackfire Wet Diamonds - sealant, applied with Rupes15
Blackfire Midnight Sun - wax, applied with Rupes15
    Solution Finish- wells
Mothers Reflections Tire Care - tires
    Mothers Chrome Polish - wheels
    Mothers Pre-Wax Cleaner -plastic chrome
Utlima Trim and Tire Guard - all plastic trim except cowling
    Poorboys Trim Restorer - cowling
Poorboys Glass Cleaner - pre-production sample picked up at Detail Fest - glass, worked pretty good

looks like ron`s new beach detail service is a go. unfortunately it takes 8hrs for wash and bfcs because of the required frozen tropical drink breaks.
