Use my trusty Autopia rear-view mirror sign to make sure the dealership didn`t offer any DISO`s this morning:

    20 hours later

This paint taught me a lot! Anyone taking a black Porsche for correction for the first time beware it is extremely soft.

PA Viking Coat topped with Viking Spritz, McKees 37 glass and wheel coating, Cquartz Fabric on the soft top, Tuff Shine on tires.

You are not kidding! It took forever to find a system that would finish out. Good thing I had multiple types of pads and correcting liquids.

2009 Smart Car Brabus: Wash, Decontaminate, Protect

This customer was a referral from the scion Xb job. The owner of the smart car wanted to sell the car. I talked with him about a couple things he could address to get a higher resale value out of the car. I went over the car with him and he specifically stated which areas he would like to be improved. Decided on my most basic exterior package, with pushing out a huge dent from the front bumper on driver side, and touch up some areas.

Took care of the wheels and tires first. Applied sealant to wheels to help clean up easier next time.

Took care of the fabric top before washing it. (reason is because it takes very long to thoroughly rinse the foam off from the soap)

DSC_2678 copy by Limny Kuang, on Flickr

Washed it, decontaminated with Iron X, then clayed.

You can slightly see the dent near the body line. Touched up whole car

What I learned from this job:

The gas lid unlocks and locks with keyfob

Gained more experience and knowledge regarding when to use cold water to shock the paint when pushing out dent with heat gun

Putting a plan together for the XTERRA. The sun tracks different here at the new place. Not as much shade. Way too much sun in the afternoons. I have Mon/Tues off. So thinking of getting up way early Mon. AM. Already has a coat of BF TP&S on. And wheels are coated. Need to do...

Engine. Clean and Sonus motor kote.
    Glass. DP Glass coat.
    Good wash of course.
Thinking of adding a layer of BF CS ?
    Other odds & ends.

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

More like this weekend, but I cleaned my summer wheels, washed the car and racked my winter wheels.

    Coated with Gyeon Wet Coat

Tires coated with Gyeon Q2 Tire.

Washed with Iron X Snow and then with Carpro HydroFoam. Wheels mounted.
