Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

Went to jump start my truck and ended up doing a 2bm wash with mirror bright shampoo and lc wash wedge while the battery charged with truck running. Poxy sheets off very nicely.

Rinse then uber rw on the challenger. Decided to put black hole and nattys black on most of the car (saving trunk of course)
    Garage pics.

Got passenger side done, black hole and nattys black.

Drivers side is still undulterated pbl v1 x2 and has coating booster applied a month or so ago. Probably going to do synergy on drivers side but not sure might leave it be.

Thinking Natty`s red later on passenger side on top of the nattys black if i get bored. I don`t find nattys black to mute my flake (but that might be because im topping a coating-not sure)

WGU rinseless and PBL coating booster. Four months after applying WG coating.

Put two Led lights up in the garage, and not detail related.....a required Marine Corps Flag and a bunch of Vette signs from Hobby Lobby.

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

My grandmother asked me to clean up some of the leather in her car when I went over for Easter dinner, so I did that quick and easy with my NONSENSE, a brush and a couple MFs. Before and after:

Then my awesome grandparents gave me a foam gun as my Easter present!!!
Which I had to try out immediately(luckily I was hoping for this and brought some stuff along that I could do a quick wash with)
I did my uncle`s new black Jeep Cherokee. Foamed twice with CG CWG and then 2BW with CWG. Dried it off and put on a coat of BFCS, tires with CG VRP. Sorry no before pics, but it was nasty and not shiny. And actually no after pics for now. They`re too big to upload directly, I`ll have to put them on photobucket and do it on my laptop in a little while

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

I did a few things this weekend but never touched a car even tho I tried. Last week I put new faucets in both the kitchen and bathroom sinks and since I am getting anxious to get working on my cars which I plan on coating with WG Uber. I thought I would coat the faucets given the water repellency of uber. I also coated my bathroom sink which really helped to be able to just rinse it and to look clean after I shaved (I don`t know what I was thinking buying a black sink). When it was new (in the late 80`s) it rinsed out fine but with it being a rental unit since the mid 90`s until now it needed some help. I also wiped the black tile down with reload.

I also got a new pressure washer on friday (it came with a broken wheel) and got all ready to go out and wash my car and just as I started it up it began to rain so I will have to wait a day.

Yesterday I did clean my summer tires and coated them with Tuf shine which is the only thing that was directly related to detailing.

Detailed the wifes car over the weekend. Gave me the opportunity to finally try out my Rupes 15 M2 with some LC ThinPro pads and some new products including Meg`s Hyperwash and HD Speed. The car has only been hand washed a few times, the rest of the washes were courtesy (if you want to call it that) of the dealer since she wasn`t too particular about her car.
It was hard to capture the swirls but this was the condition of the paint:

    Pillars, one corrected one untouched.

And afterwards. Not a great picture but I was in a hurry so I just snapped it real quick.

More clouds would`ve made a better hood reflection but oh well.

I`ll also add that coming from a GG6 to the Rupes was a lot more different than I initially anticipated. Much lighter and the lack of vibrations like the GG6 has were enjoyable.

Coated my tires with the McKee`s tire coating. Hope I cleaned the tires well enough... Process was:

2 spray downs and scrubs with OPC
2 spray downs and scrubs with the coating kit cleaner
3 spray downs with stoner`s tarminator, 2 scrubs and a final wipe down

If that`s not clean... I dunno what is!

It still looks horrible, but this box has been abused by my coworkers. It was a slow day so, I damp sanded, polished, and waxed part of my tool cart. Definitely still not perfect since I used red shop rags to wipe; got the sandpaper, polish, and pad from a 3M headlight polishing kit; and used my 3/8" air drill with no speed control except my finger; and some Black Magic wax that I dug out of my parents garage a couple years ago. Way smoother and better though.

I thought it was amusing and it killed like 30 minutes.

Browsed a car museum in Miami this weekend while using my Autopia tumbler. I thought it was a fitting shot.

Trying to decide what I need/want. It`s confusing.
Formerly the "Best Detailer", now just Super Wax Waster Man. Not necessarily tactful, but normally right. It`s good to be da King !!!
