Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

Stool came in very handy doing the wheels and running boards

Worked in with foam brush and let sit for three hours then wiped.

    before
    after

bold n bright spray and carrand tire brush

And the paint is covered in pollen a few hours after washing..that`ll be it for today.

Mines coated with Ameriarmour. Pulled it into the garage blew the water off with the DP Car Dryer and finished it off with some Pinnacle Black Label Coating Booster. It wasn`t needed but the gloss was amped.

I ended up re-coating my tires again with 3 coats of DP Tire Coating.

Re-coated the tires with 2 coats of DP Tire Coating. Used the Sidekick to dry the tires in between coats. Speeds up the drying process.

Got 1/2 through polishing out a few annoying scratches in my windshield with Ceriglass last night:

Called it a night when my back could take the strain of reaching into the center/applying prolonged downward pressure any longer. Round 2 starts tonight

I`m getting ready to move my supplies and tools to a new garage I`m excited. I ran into a few issues with detailing at the dealership (nothing negative, just logistics) so I found a nice garage to call home. I`ve been itching to detail so get ready to be flooded with more "before and afters" soon!

Haven`t done glass stuff myself. So don`t really know what`s involved.
Formerly the "Best Detailer", now just Super Wax Waster Man. Not necessarily tactful, but normally right. It`s good to be da King !!!

Polishing glass is a messy PIA. Avoid it if you can...

But seriously. ..i definitely need to use some real glass polish on my 2009 windshield. Has lots of tiny chips or scratches in it. Looks like bugs in direct sun but its not....factory ws so not wanting to replace it just yet. Already saved a chip from running back in 2010 and its still safe.

Ceriglass is super messy though i see

Yup. Glass polishing is a mess because you CONSTANTLY have to re-wet Ceriglass in order to keep it in a slurry consistency allowing the abrasives to work. Otherwise it`ll dry out in the blink of an eye. Using a small atomizer sprayer filled with water is key.

Just finished polishing out the windshield- man glass polishing is terrible. I do not recommend it unless it`s an absolute last resort.
