I`m currently a DoD employee staring into the face of a 20% pay cut called "Sequestration"... If that happens I may end up being an ex-DoD employee and new auto detailing entrepreneur.

My MIL was recently let go right in the middle of stage 4 cancer as a DOD sub contractor. All benefits cut. We as a family are helping pay the bills to continue needed treatment. Irony is she worked in experimental testing.

I`m sorry to hear that. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family. I find the irony in all the people I talk to who got into government jobs for the "security" it provides. Oh well, let me stop there before I get into full-on rant mode.

Actually just in my second semester at Virginia Tech, they have a satellite campus her in Northern Virginia. Taking statistics and financial framework for managers. Taking two math classes was a mistake.

I`m jealous of you being so far along.

Yeah I work for.................FINRA lol. Former mutual fund broker too.
