    Restored House Windows Today

I received a strange call from a client yesterday. He asked me if I could come clear up the two windows that are on both sides of the front door of his house.

They were all hazed up like headlights do except without the yellowing. They had metal design work in them like what you see with stained glass but this glass was clear with some frosted accents.

Anyways, you could tell that the outside of the glass was not glass but some kind of plexiglass. A couple of passes with a DA and some PlastX cleared them right up. Treated them with Opti-Guard after that. I`m curious if they will stay clear now.

Once again I became a hero to my customer who tried and tried various things that didn`t work. This was a very expensive house and these looked like very expensive windows. I was a bit surprised to see them cloud up like that from UV exposure.

Man the things that you can do with detailing equipment. New stuff is found everyday. Great way to talk the wifes or girlfriends into new stuff.

I`ve seen some fog up but they were not very good quality. I wonder if someone tried to clean them with something that caused the damage rather than UV

It`s always best to be the hero. I would assume that the Opti-Guard will add valuable protection to the glass, based on my experience with it on automotive windows.

You got me. I made the whole thing up.

When I was half way done with the first window I thought to myself, "That would make a great 50/50 before and after shot" .... and then I continued without taking a picture.

I now have a phone with a good camera on it so I will have no excuse from this point on.

I`m the same way, I`m not detailing to take a bunch of pics while in the process. I just want to get the job done!
