Don`t feel bad. With the Big Kahuna contest that just ended, people were posting about everything and anything that poped into their head (even clouds...sory Corey). It was a running gag around here.

I am sure that Flash has never heard of that , nor have I.

Only thing I`ve cleaned under the hood of a vehicle with Coke was some nasty battery terminals.

Other than that (being the safe person I am) I would be hesitant pouring coke over an engine.

Maybe others have more experience with it though.

oh, I see. Hey if it`s funny run with it. I`m gonna find out more details about it, I work with a professor who, oddly, use to work on diesels with Mack Trucks. I`m gonna see if he might know a thing or two.

My 12 year old did a project in class and if you soak a tooth in coke on the 17th day the tooth is gone! No rattling around in the bottle.

Yes, Coca Cola will clean grease off an engine to a degree, but as far as it being cost effective I don`t think so. Plus you will leave behind a big surgary sticky mess X_X

Coke has been used for decades to clean stuff.
I know of a guy that cleans original rare tires in Coke.

I myself prefer to drink it versus clean with it.
Maybe I`ll make a detailing t-shirt with a Coke bottle on it.

Back in the early 60`s I worked at a full service gas station with a fellow that used coke right out of the bottle to remove bugs off the windshield. Used it myself in the past on battery cables but the cleaning of engines is a new one to me.

I asked Uncle Joe, he said Coke and Jack Daniels. So, I asked my cousin Mikey - he said " uh, I don`t snort that no more man" so being a Pepsi person, I concluded my investigation.
All I have in this world is my word, and my balls and I don`t break `em for no one, you understand?"
