Here are a couple of gems. Both preformed by the same dealer. Autorama a.k.a. Mercedes Benz of Memphis ut:

    1) Have a 380sl(brand new)fall off the back of a transport truck. Rush it around the back of business. Collect insurance, send car to bodyshop to have repaired and sold it as brand new

    2) On there very first day of doing there inhouse detailing themselves(after me doing all there work for over 6 years) the detail guy was pulling a 911 into the wash bay and his foot slipped off the clutch~drove through a brick wall. He wasn`t use to those hairtrigger supertight Porsche clutches

    Gotta love karma :wizard:

There is a luxury pre-owned shop here in town that specializes in $250K cars with holograms. I cringe!
I hear voices in my mind and you’re worried that you’re the freak.

Now I know exactly why the dealer charges extra for the "swirl and waterspot package"(I got this quote from Luster).

What is the worst thing that you have seen a dealer do to a car?
Every dealer I know has a company that comes out and does this for them. Usually they are charged $1 per car. The dealer I am at now has a company that is a mobile "detail" service they come out and spray and then use a bucket of water and wipe then dry with a chamois, atleast they have more then one chamois unlike the other companies. I have worked at 6 dealers now, Chevy, BMW and now Nissan and all do this.

    Open.

Aside from that, I`ve seen way too many things especially at a local vw dealer going with a friend. Cars being dried with used shop towels.. yes shop towels that were just used to wipe off oily engine crap off the workers` hands. Saw a guy lifting a car up about 4-5 feet before someone ran across the garage yelling to STOPPP.... the car was being lifted by the rear only, guy forgot to put the front lift arms under, and was slowly crushing the front bumper.

So yea, open about sums it up haha.
