    Buffing cart...

Started building a buffing cart yesterday. Really tired of cords getting tangled up, and having to stop and change machines as I`m working my way around the vehicle. So I had this brainac idea to have a place for everything, and keep it with me as I travel around the vehicle. All tools are plugged in and ready to go all the time. Just keep pads on them, and all I`ll have to do is put down what I`m using and pick up what I need. Cords are at least 6` long, so thats plenty of room to move around.

    Here is the first version...

After playing with it for a bit, I realized that a light higher up would be a bennefit, so here is version 2... The top light will raise and lower about 10"...

Although it`s a little primitive, it`s fully functional. I`m going to work on the "looks" department after I get it exactly like I want it. This is just the rough first draft of it.

    Any inputs? Advice?

    Nick

Great idea Nick. How do those Halogens work as far as brining out imperfections and swirls? I found fluorescent lights to do a great job, which is why they are used in paint booths. Just a thought. Great idea though.

Very cool! Maybe a rack or shelf to put your most used polishes on?

NICE IDEA! I`ve wanted a cart, but didn`t think about attaching power/lights to it.

Halogens are the only way to go. Florescent lights don`t show all the defects. You may want to give a set of halogen lights a try, and you`ll see what I`m talking about.

Does the power strip have built-in ground fault protection? What gage is the cable to the outlet (12/3 AWG I hope)?
