    Thumbs up Quick connector set

Something so simple but effective. Now it`s a breeze to connect the hose to the faucet. Love mine.

    Re: Quick connector set

Any idea if this would restrict flow ? I have the larger size diameter hose.

I use quick connect couplers too. Otherwise things like hooking up the hose to the power washer I can`t do myself it takes two hands. So I have couplers on everything that attaches to the hose. It obviously has to restrict some flow because that hole is definitely smaller than your hose. That said I don`t notice it when using any thing with them.

I have these, too, and love the rubber grips, but now I`m using the Eley quick connect system, which doesn`t work with these.

    Re: Quick connector set

Just don`t use the Female ones with the plastic rings for hose-end stuff (e.g., foamgun) as it`s easy to accidentally uncouple them and have something launch under pressure. I *can* certainly see using them for the spigot/sillcock hookup if you undo it frequently.

I have a scad of the Male fittings, and a quick look makes it easy to see which ones have a restrictive bore size. Some do, some don`t, and the diff can be pretty significant.

When unhooked, will it stop the water flow?

No. That would be a shut off valve.

That`s not a quick connect. Looking for something similar to an air connection.

    Re: Quick connector set

I`ve looked around some, and these are high end. Better quality than most.
Good tolerance allowances, w/ tight fit so less movement. Thick metal.
The rubberizing makes a dif. with wet hands.
