    Am I over thinking this?

I used Gyeon Bathe Plus on Friday on my absolutely filthy dirty DD. Car was crazy dirty a mix of pollen, driving in the light rain for hours (some roads unpaved).

I rinsed the car down, and proceeded to wash (2BM) one panel at a time. Car came out looking amazing and I really think the Gyeon Bathe plus used over the Gyeon Mhos Plus works great at rejuvenating the beading.

So I masterblasted the surface and decided to touch what I thought of would be a slick surface given the beading and the addition of whatever the Gyeon bathe plus left behind.

Well, I feel some contaminates on the surface. I clayed a small spot and it came off easily. I wonder if a car needs to be washed with traditional car wash soap and water(Pre-washed) before its washed with these SI02 washes to keep crud from being trapped below the micro layer of SI02 applied?

Saturday AM I washed another car of mine with the Gyeon Bath plus, but first with Poor Boys Super Slick and Suds and it`s stayed nice and smooth.

    So am :

    1. I crazy? (most likely the answer I know-do we have a prescribing psychiatrist on staff b/c this is bothering me)
    2. Was my DD just contaminated and the finish / LSP just needs to be deconed and rebuilt? My DD gets used and abused.
    3. I am on to something, we now have another products category- the Pre-Wash?

    Thanks

I think you`re on to something. I`ve always been a fan of using dedicated products instead of multi products anyways.

I have found the same thing with the soaps that add protection. I now use strictly Griot`s concentrated wash and use a drying aid from the coating that is on the car.

I feel the same way, I use Hydrofoam as a second wash on wifes car and I love it. But as a stand alone wash I dont love it doesnt clean as well and I find the protection looks splotchy,

Formerly the "Best Detailer", now just Super Wax Waster Man. Not necessarily tactful, but normally right. It`s good to be da King !!!

I would drop back and punt . Re-wash with RESET. Then feel car and make a decision after that. That will give you the most honest condition of your paint. No guessing or hidden surprises. Let us know. Easy enough.
