    Cheap and simple detailing cart...

    Hey Autopia Fam

For anyone interested or looking for a cheap and compact detail cart -

I picked up this cart from Target for around $25.00 last week. Had some time tonight so I put it together. It was very easy to assemble and took 5 min. It also seems to be a good build quality and very sturdy.

It`s small and compact and can hold polish bottles, polishers, MF towels etc. when moving around the car. I plan on adding a few hooks to the sides to hang the polishers while not in use and moving around the car. Probably a small power bar as well and maybe a LED light.

You could get a big sticker put it on the box and call it a detailing cart, make at least a 100% profit easy.

    good find

That is a nice, neat cart and the price is right. I wanted a little bigger cart so I could put my wash buckets in it and move them around at the same time. I got this one at Sams (hope the pics turn out).

Nice! That is also a great one. I have a three tier black cart which I pull outside when washing and prepping but its a pain to move it around the car when its in the garage with all the wiring around for lights and polishers etc.

i think ANY cart will be a nice addition.

Recently picked up a Griot`s cart. Used it at the office to move from one desk to another in a different suite. Handy.

Used it during a detailing job on wife`s car. Rinseless wash was made a bit easier and faster.

Following day, doing mother-in-law`s car. bucket wash. Neighbor came over and asked to do his. No problem. Loaded the cart and pushed it over to his car.

Wish I would have gotten one sooner.

OP - at that price, that`s a really good find!!

That is a great cart, you can go to YouTube and see some vids on it, I like it that it fold in half for storage but the one from Target is at a sweet price point to even see if I would even like to use a cart

Re: Cheap and simple detailing cart...

Here`s a pic of my homemade one:

After using it for a few years, some of the things I really like are:
1)The 4" tubes I`ve attached with binder clips on the top section keep bottles from tipping over when I move it around. Also, I glued various-sized plastic pipe scraps on the right side to hold a bunch of small brushes.
    2) I found some plastic jars large enough to keep a supply of foam, MF and terry applicator pads organized.
    3) I enclosed the bottom section with plexiglass on three sides and a plastic curtain in the front, so MF towels are organized and protected from dirt, water etc.

If any of my ideas are worthwhile, go ahead and steal them to make yours more efficient.
