Re: Do all Waffle Weave towels get pulls

Same experience here with my TRC Premium WW towels.

The Griot`s PFM towels snag very easily also.

Just have to deal with it I guess... Never thought about blotting around emblems so thanks for that tip!

I wont buy WW anymore, many far superior options. Currently using the Uber drying towels for past few years very successfully.
I was given an Uber Drying Towel to try out. It`s a big, plush towel but I found it to lint quite badly. Definitely wouldn`t be my choice on glass.

While I`m currrently all about plush MF Drying Towels, my...?Dry Me a River?...sorry, I forget the cutesy names...from MF Madness hasn`t snagged yet, and that`s probably a new record since my other ones snagged far more readily.

It`s a different kind of WW material, sorta surprised me how well it works. I expect it to eventually become less effective (the way all my WWMFs eventually do), but for now it`s what I use for a quick drying of the glass before I start drying the paint with my plush ones.

And yeah, I too have issues with some plush MFs linting, the Walmart ones that Tom P has no problems with lint something awful for me, so much that I only use them for areas that don`t show.

Ye of little faith! My "Dry Me A River" towels just keep getting better. In fact my older ones outperform the newer ones that have the silk edging.

Lint is the Achilles heel of my Kona Blue towels I got from ADS. Otherwise they are GREAT but the linting makes them unusable for product removal. Still OK for Waterless and Rinseless.

Heh heh, I`d like nothing better than for my cynical ol` self to be proved wrong about the inevitability of that WW`s ineffectiveness

Re: Do all Waffle Weave towels get pulls

I used to use mostly waffle weaves for drying and sadly they would get stuck on emblems when dragged over and pull the fabric out. If you blot around emblems as suggested you avoid that but I found I would need 2 sometimes 3 to finish drying a car. Maybe it was just the brands I was using but they didnt seem to pick up water well?

I recently switched to the Griots Garage PFM towel. Holy Smokes. Literally dried a car with the one towel in what felt like less than 5 minutes and didnt have to wring it out once. I am going to pick up a few more of those bad boys.
