    Meguiars MF Discs and M205

I wanted to try the combo many have mentioned.
I was going to buy the 5" Finishing discs with M205 with my Rupes 15.
Does anyone know if the 3" discs fit the mini?
How about the 6" discs, Will it fit the 21s backing plate.

Is there really a need for the cutting discs?

Yes and yes. The 3" MF pads will fit the mini and the 6" MF pads will fit the 21.

If the paint is harder than you anticipated (you`re still having some swirls left) then you can up it to the cutting MF disc. But you can also change to a compound instead. Beware of hazing though.

Just be sure to use ample amounts of M205. Prime pad and then apply a bead of polish around the outside of the pad, not the typical 4 peas sized drops.

Does anyone think I`ll get comparable results using Ultimate Polish rather than M205?
If not I`ll just add another bottle to my arsenal.
Its got more polishing oils and a touch less cut but actually based on the 205.

You will get close to similar results. But I would take M205 over ultimate polish just for the added versatility.

If you are going to try this combo I would read this detailed article by Kevin Brown: Keywords

I haven`t used this method, but know a lot of people that due with very good results.

I love the Megs MF cutting discs. They just work and work VERY well. I can have paint finish LSP ready with the cutting discs and D300.

My favorite is the Meg`s MF pads with Menz 400. I`m going to have to try them with Menz 300, but I`ve yet to find anything that 400 will not take care of. What`s your take on 300 vs 400?
