Meguiars Products are these worth trying

As I sit here I the hospital ( long story)
I`m thinking of ordering these Meguiars products:
Hyperwash d110 ( for my foam canon)
    Glass Cleaner D120
APC d101 ( been using PB APC @1:15)
    Degreaser d108

My wife is using my PB glass cleaner. And that`s like $30 a gallon RTU. But the best Glass cleaner I`ve ever used. The others are on my wish list.

And i plan on cleaning some engines this summer. A 98 and 02 that are a bit dirty.
Or should I just use my steamer vx5000?

    Any suggestions?

I can vouch for the Hyperwash and the degreaser, both are great products and for the money you really can`t go wrong. The APC is a new version of an old favorite. I love the old APC and wish they would have stayed with the old formula, which in my mind was perfect. I have read that the new APC foams more than the old formula, but I have not tried it. Dollar for dollar Meg`s products are probably the best you can buy.

    I`ll give you my feedback

    Hyperwah D110 is worth trying
Glass Cleaner is worth trying. PM me I`ll send you a sample bottle to try out before you decide to purchase the entire gallon
    APC D101 is worth trying.
Super Degreaser D108 - I`ll send you a sample as well. I only really use it for wheel wells and occasionally tires. Other than that, APC can do the same thing.

D110 Hyperwash - Yes, Absolutely (wash & foam canon)

D120 Glass Cleaner - Yes, but it will last you years.

D101 APC - Yes. I use this regularly behind the now discontinued APC+

D108 Degreaser - Take it or leave it. I have it but don`t use it often. Mostly engines and other greasy areas.

Hyper Wash is great and IMO D120 is one of the best, most economical glass cleaners available.

Re: Meguiars Products are these worth trying

    Shawn,

The Meguiar`s Glass Cleaner is really good, predictable, smells very nice, and not too expensive for the dilution rate...

Meguiars Super Degreaser is also a very good product I always use to clean engines, the compartment, all the areas in front of, beside, and the back of the Radiator, the Underhood, the Cowl and very dirty fender liners..

I just spray it on a cold engine, let it dwell awhile and hit it with a pressure washer with a wide fan tip... It rinses really well and completely leaving nothing behind on the surfaces..

I get spotless, degreased, very clean engines and compartments, that are now perfectly ready to accept whatever spray you use to condition all the plastic parts to perfection...

I have the VX5000 and it has never made me happy cleaning an engine compartment - it can do it but it will take a lot longer...
Also remember that very hot steam under pressure can get into places under the hood that perhaps will not be good..

Whereas water blown all over the engine through the front openings when driving in the rain , and on cars with no underside covers, from the road, have always been able to take that with no problems, right ?

For those who are recommending hyper wash so highly, can you compare it to optimum car wash? I`m between the two for my next wash in a month or so

I swear by Megs D110 Hyper Wash. After trying countless soaps Im definitely satisfied with this one. Cleans very well doesnt strip LSP, and doesnt leave anything behind. It also has a 400:1 dilution ratio (I use 1OZ in each of my soap buckets with 3.5Gal of water, and 1oz in my 32OZ foam cannon). The foam is like shaving cream and lasts until the following day (longest lasting suds Ive seen yet).

Never used Megs D120 Glass Cleaner, but I do recommend; Stoners Invisible Glass, Bon Ami, or Wolfgang Perfekt Vision Glass Cleaner. Stoners and Bon Ami are great cleaners but dont really leave anything behind whereas WG Perfect Vision does (water beads like its a coating, and its really easy to use).

I love Megs D101 APC! Sometimes I think my wife uses it more than I do (around our home). I used it to clean up nicotine stained tiles and light fixtures and it did an incredible job. This APC just rocks and its cheap (I got the two gallons with the spray bottle at a very fair price). My car doesnt really get too dirty so I rarely use it for detailing but its a must have cleaner IMHO (works great on shoes too). I mostly use this APC at a 10:1 ratio.

I use Megs D108 Degreaser every wash (spray on tires/wheels, and exhaust) and every time I detail my engine bay at a 4:1 ratio. This stuff works very well but be careful not to inhale the mist its NASTY (same for the APC). Sometimes I wonder if the APC could substitute this product. Note: going back trough the comments I see Im not the only one that feels APC could basiclly cover the job of this product.

Most importantly, I hope you get well soon!
