Open Discussion - Not so at CarPro

Just want to say this site is awesome that it allows open discussions on such a wide array of products from a plethora of manufacturers. Over at CarPro I was banned for commenting on a defective item (bottle on Foam Canon). It was brought to their attention and they failed to act on it. A forum member was inquiring on the foam canon and I explained my experience with mine. I was banned for "taking shots at CarPro" and promoting Optimum.

They are a joke. I guess ONLY CarPro products are good and everything else is crap. And we can`t explain our experiences with THEIR products unless they are only positive. Shady practices over there.

Thank you Autopia for having an open forum for us to discuss detailing products. And to think I have 10X as many CarPro products compared to Optimum. Well my business with CarPro will cease forever.

    Frisco, Texas -

If there was ever a Straight-Shooter - it would have to be you, for so many reasons...

Over all the years - I mean lots of years - that I have followed your posts, I have always felt that you speak the truth with fairness, all the time..
Thanks so much for all the work you have done for all of us !

In regards to that site you mentioned - I have never, ever, felt comfortable with first of all, their marketing business plan and secondly, the amount of products that were pushed out so quickly, some just had problems from the get-go...

They do have some great things going, and I am glad for that, but I`m with you; and positive I would have been banned a long time ago...

I too appreciate the open forum here at Autopia, which allow discussion of non-PBMG distributed products as well as active discussions, that sometimes get a bit heated, but always tend to have a humorous undertone.

The AutoGeek Forum has similar rules as the one at CarPro-US.

I always believe that a Consumer should give the vendor the opportunity to make it right, by contacting them offline, before blasting them from behind the keyboard.

I had a similar experience when talking to a local Carpro dealer.
Made a comment, and received unfriendly response from the dealer.
Thought mine was isolated case. Look at the props in this post, turn out it might be "like attracts like" along the stream of Carpro.

I see them as a leader of innovation in the industry that also need to do more testing before they release their products. I own and use many of their products, and will buy more. However, now I wait until their new products are tested by others first before I make the plunge.
