    LED Shop Lighting

I recently moved into a new home. Having only 2 incandescent lights in the garage, I knew I would eventually install something else.

I found some LED shoplights I couldn`t resist trying one at first before going with 5 of them.

I think these blow away my old T8 fixtures I had at my old home. I just may add something on the RH wall side where the vehicle is.
You need sunglasses in there it`s so bright.

Nice! I did the same when we moved into our current house. It felt great swapping out the cruddy old hodge-podge garage lighting with 8 nice new Feit shop light LED`s from Costco.

Nice lighting. Are you going to paint the drywall?

Those ceilings make that garage look borderline commercial. You could install a nice storage system with that amount of wall space. Congrats on the new home and more importantly the cool garage.

Yes...Definitely painting but a long Honey Do list before I`m allowed.
    Ceilings are 12`6"
I dropped the fixtures to 11` to ckear the beam in the front of garage.

    Nice!

I`m looking at the fixtures listed in the first post of this thread, which I`ve been following for almost a year now.

The Best Light Fixture Ever! - The Garage Journal Board

Seem to be right on par to your fixtures but they are surface mount and a little more efficient.

Best bang for the buck LED bypass 4ft 2-lamp strip light known as of 11/23/2015:

Price for 10 2-lamp 4ft LED bypass fixtures:

    18W James LED $11.99 x 20 = $240 + Free Shipping
(Be sure to get frosted lens)

    MaxLite LED Ready Strip Hsg $12.50 x 10 = $125.00 + $20 shipping

Total = $385 / 10 = $38.50 per complete fixture (all tax and shipping included),

Very nice - I love the wall mounted ones. Was thinking about mounting lights on my walls over the weekend while working on my buddies TT. Are they on a separate switches?

no. straight into an outlet and pull the chain.

for the mount I just used the supplied hardware chain and put the eyelet into the studs
