    Buff n Shine Pads recessed?

Are the 5.5" B&S pads sold by Autopia recessed for the backing plate.

The photo in the store doesn`t show that but maybe things have changed.

I just got a bunch of them and the velcro doesn`t go all the way to the edge of the pad if that`s what you`re asking

I thought, Recessed would be where the backing plate fits into the pad.
Self centering I would think I`d the same thing.

Naw I don`t think there`s any DA appropriate pads that have that feature.

But as opposed to the LC flat pads, the buff and shine ones don`t have the Velcro extend all the way to the edge of the pad. And their backing plate fits almost perfectly onto the pad.

You can see it here on each picture--the white Velcro does not go to the edge of the pad--Buff and Shine 5.5 Inch Flat Foam Pads What you can`t see in the picture is that the Velcro is also raised about 1/8" above the back surface of the pad. When using a B&S backing plate it is very easy to center the pad.
