Most of these guys listed above are in their 40`s & 50`s. Far too young to be a founding father IMO.
Rick Schmidt (Auto Wax)
Bud Abraham (Detail Plus)
Ron Ketcham (Auto Int)
To name a few....

How about Barry Meguiar and Bob McKee? There should be a Hall of Fame we can all visit with wax figurines made out of carnauba

STILL need to go back farther, at least another generation, and I bet the guys you`ve suggested would be the first to say so.
(NO disrespect intended towards the folks already mentioned.)
If we`re talking recent-generation Meguiars, IMO you can`t mention Barry without also nominating Floyd. The latter was more my kind of guy and his FK1000P simply kills the Meguiar`s product it was specifically developed to challenge.
A Founding father...
Barry Meguiar`s grandfather...Frank Meguiar, Jr
Meguiar`s : Heritage
I agree. Probably need to go back to Frank Meguire at least to be considered "Founders".
Yeah, now you`re talkin` !
And who founded Zymol...and when?
