I think it`s a bit of a stretch to equate hope and romance to those of us who love a detailed car. The feel good about your appearance/car`s appearance, feel good about yourself is a strong underlier in both though.

I want to see Accumulators car collection ALMOST as bad as I want to see inside the Duragloss factory.
Both are likely reminiscent of the detailing equivalent of the Willy Wonka factory!

Bill, yeah, however when I chat with some of the younger enthusists, one of the things most mention is how their "hot car" is a flower of necture for the "hot girl".
LOL!
In my day, decades ago that was for sure.
Even today, at my age, I get "hit on" by some older women when driving the Beast.
They come up and use it ask questions, talk about what it was when they were young, etc.

This thread is starting to remind me of that movie Grumpier old Men.

LOL. That doesn`t happen in my neck of the woods. I think I park too damn far away to even be noticed :chuckle
And LOL if Barry thinks Im one of the grumpy old men!

I earned that title, and will honor such!
LOL, wish Ann Margret was here.

Eh, different priorities these days...
I`d love to see your shop! From the partial descriptions I`ve read over time, it really sounds like something any red blooded car guy would go ga-ga over! It`s part of your residence, but separate from the actual garage IIRC?

Guess that`s why I always tell people I don`t really need my own toys as long as other people bring me their toys and pay me to play with them

Right. There`s a three-car that`s built into the house (it`s the original garage) and the shop`s attached to that via a double-gated breezeway, where the dogs often hang out.
