Same here. Ease of use is great (no buffing off any excess) but looks are #1. :2thumbs:

I want to know if I should wait for these products to come out, (depends how long), or just go ahead and buy the ZFX, Z2, Z5...

Honestly, if both products will be out soon, I`d wait, you`d probably end up saving money and having an easier afternoon of detailing to boot.

And again, misinformation like that really turns people off.

I`m not sure that`s misinformation. I`ve used some products that after 2 washes the water is clinging and pooling. Maybe there is something there and maybe not. Remember that in the case of carnaubas they are blended with beeswax and other ingredients that can`t take the heat.

I use carnaubas almost exclusively on my black car all summer in Dallas. I have never had a problem with them not holding up, even this past summer when we had 40+ 100 degree days and my car is parked outside 24/7.

Cool, sounds like an interesting set of products. I am very interested in the chemical cleaner type product too. I like how Sal keeps working to improve his stuff. I`ll have to grab some when it becomes available and try it on some cars. If it looks as good & is as easy to use as it sounds it will be a real winner.

Well, for those who really like removing dried waxes you can always wait until after it cures and wipe it down with Z6 for nostalgia sake. :nervous: :lol

Does your wash product leave protection behind? Could that skew your results? I`ve used carnaubas that only last 4 weeks in western Pa in summer when washed with NXT. Heck, I only got 3 months out of Collinite 845 in summer (not bad but I got 5 months out of 845 in winter). Bottom line heat and sunlight break down carnaubas-some faster than others.

Scott often points out that they don`t have acid rain in TX. Where you are to where I am is the acid rain belt and I think that has a lot to do with it (along with all the other environmental fallout we have here from population density, etc.)
