Do you think the packaging *really* matters? I can`t imagine paying attention to that; maybe I`m, uhm...different, but I always think that fancy packaging is some twit`s (wasteful) assumption that the customers are as silly as he is.

OTOH, I have a book I`ve been meaning to read ("Predictably Irrational") about how (most?) consumers supposedly think that might give me a different view of the subject

Yeah, I`d say the average guy that walks into an auto parts store wants a good looking bottle with a picuture of a shiney car on it. I`ve seen generic bathroom products with more appealing labels than collinite.

I recently got some Collinite 845 to try out and it`s separated out in the bottle. There are "clumps" of stuff and some liquid, looks kind of bad.

I`ve tried some out and it seems to work pretty good. Does anybody else have this clumping issue and/or how do you get it back into solution? Thanks.

Just push the clump back down into the bottle and shake and shake. Eventually it will become a nice milky consistency. At least that is what worked for me.

Just shake it up well until it liquifies.

I`ve shaken it quite a bit since that`s what the bottle says, but there isn`t a lot of room for the stuff to move around. The clumps are kind of hard too, looks bad. I`ll shake it around some more and maybe post a pic for you guys to see if it doesn`t work out.

Set it in front of a heater vent and let some warm air blow over it. It should reliquify.

I the soak bottle in hot tap water for a short time and then shake it up.

Works great for me that way.

Keep shaking. It took 10 min of shaking to get it back to normal for me when I first bought it

or stand it on a radiator for an hour until it warms through nicely, then shake a lot

also helps if you are standing on 1 leg, singing the national anthem and not wearing any shoes.

Darn, I forgot about the shoes bit ... that explains the difficulties.

Remember that Collinite puts the "born on date" on their products. The one I bought today was from earlier this year...
