Re: What is a foam gun?

Looks very close if not identical to mine. Mine is just a different color

Try connecting the mixing part ( last pic) directly to the hose, that way you`ll get even more foam

I use brass quick disconnects to easy put it on and off. Before my final rinse I just remove the foam gun and let the free flowing water help dry the car

Where did you get yours again? Does the place have a website?

Re: What is a foam gun?

Bill I bought my foam gun at Messener`s for around $50.00. They are a janitorial supply house. I will check on the link for you. Go to message #8 on this thread and I have a link there.

Re: What is a foam gun?

Here are some pictures of a foam gun making foam.

You can see the soap going through the air:

You can really build up a layer of lather on the vehicle to wash it:

Nice thing I have found with the foam guns is that you don`t seem to need as much soap as you do with the 5 gallon bucket method IMO.

Re: What is a foam gun?

Yes, that is very true about using less soap. I`m astonished how I wash, foam flowing over the car constantly for a long time and not a whole lot out of the dispensing bottle.

Re: What is a foam gun?

Just be sure to do a pure run of water thru the dillution holes. The very
small hole (128:1 ratio I think) can get clogged with dried up soap, and
    become useless until thoroughly cleaned.

Oh by the way Bill I put a full port 3/4" ball valve on the hose with quick disconnects. Still can control water in the on/off, but know I have no obstruction of water flow.

Re: What is a foam gun?

    So OI812:

Are you doing an "extreme washing method" running the foam gun over one small section at a time and gently whisking you mitt over it either with the fun gun inside the mitt or the gun in one hand and the mitt in the other?

He he, I can imagine how long it could take to wash that truck. Could easily go beyond three hours.I could see possibly using up to a dozen mitts with my A4 .If you want to be REAL extreme you might use that amount minimum.

Nope, that site must really dislike me : When I view it, it still freezes when I try to view the section that foam gun is in.

I`ve just been holding it one hand and mitt in the other hand. I still say it is a huge time saver. Plus I think you get more soap on the vehicle.
