    Can`t get past the sealant

Every time I go out to put wax on my car/cars I end up with another coat of EX-P on mine and UPP on my wife`s.I went out to today to put Paste Glaz on my wife`s and put another coat of UPP on. I promised myself that sometime this week after I wash the car/cars I will add the wax. My problem is I love the way they look with EX-P and UPP that I never get any further.

I have the same problem. I have a couple things I want to top UPP with but it looks so good by itself that I don`t want to chance messing it up.

    Question

    My question is why???
If you are happy with the look you are getting, why do you feel you need to add another product?
A year or so ago, I added S100 over UPP because of what I had been reading about topping sealants with carnauba.
I honestly couldn`t tell the difference on a dark blue metallic finish. I just went back to adding my UPP every 30 days to keep things looking good. It was more important to me to be able to add the UPP whenever I felt like it. With the S100 topper, I felt I needed to remove it before adding any more UPP. No regrets.

Because I want to see how they look with carnuba on them. Then when Iwash them out comes the sealant.

This spring I did EX-P + S100.. Felt like I couldn`t add more EX-P after the S100 if I wanted to for some reason. Last month, I took the S100 off and am currently running with just EX-P. Undecided on if I like pure EX-P or EX-P + S100.

The whole wax topper over a sealant thing kinda confuses me anyways. I know the wax adds beauty, blah blah blah. Sealant has better durability, blah blah blah... I`m constantly arguing with myself about adding a carnuba :duel Guess I just need to spend more time driving :car :shift Just happy that I have such a "tough" decision to make

    Rick,

I agree............ if you are happy with the way it looks without the topper................. LEAVE IT ALONE!

The way I look at it, if there`s nothing wrong with it why fix it? But then, if you don`t mind spending few bucks trying out new stuff, why not? It doesn`t hurt to try.

I`d go UPP on the bronze metallic, EX-P or UPP(try half a hood of each) on the Pearl and EX-P on the white. That`s just my opinion. Of course if you have Vanilla Moose I recommend putting that on before your sealant.

I used the Wolfer`s sealant on my silver metallic and I didn`t like how it darkened it. I`ll use the Wolfer`s on my dark green. Just my preference. No big deal.:beer

    Hey, it`s easy.
Just use AIO for a prep and then apply UPP. Maybe two UPP applications.
Looks great, and you can add more UPP whenever you feel like it.
Some Poorboy`s S&W every few days and a quick once over with 4 Star UGE and you are good to go.
    See, nothing to it.

By the way, that is what I do for the van. The other two cars get a totally different routine.

So many products, so little time. (And money)
