Bad vibration w/ Edge 2000 PC

I did my truck last weekend and my hands went numb. Do I need another counterweight? It`s so bad that I`m not using them until I fix this problem. I can`t imagine the bearings in the PC lasting long like this either. With the regular PC pads I can turn it up to 6 and it`s totally smooth.

When did you purchase the adapter? You probably need to contact Aaron Krauze (The Edge) for a short aluminum version. I thought you use the stock counterweight? I would just run my 6 ounce CW

This is a known issue with the E2K DA pads. Different counterweights do not seem to resolve the problem. The solution is the upcoming shortened quick connect adapter. Some DC members have already tried the new adapter prototypes and have reported very good results. Here are some recent threads on this topic -

Edit: Woob, the aluminum adapters are not available yet.

It was ordered about a month ago. I think I`ll just cut/weld the adaptor I have now.

Wifehatescar experimented with cutting his original adapter. You may want to check with him on the subject. In the meantime, here is a thread that he posted - Cut an E2K adapter today

He also posted a review about the new prototype adapter from The Edge here - Yet another E2K *short* adapter review

I would contact the Edge for a shorter version before you cut your own. The threads at the bottom of the adapter get small and then the PC adapter part does not screw down all the way. LikeI said, I`ve cut one, and I recommend not doing that just try to get a short one from Aaron, it will save you alot of trouble.
We can rebuild him. We have the capability to make the world’s first bionic man. Better than he was before. Better Stronger Faster
