Scott, in your opinion. No products barred. What do you feel is the best combination to use to provide the best "POP"! How does FX compare with Final Polish?

FNG answered most of you questions for me (gracias, amigo!) but my current favorite combination is the following:

Vanilla Moose, Final Polish and S100. That is what I used on that black, 4-year-old Solara in the first post in this thread.

    FX? What is that?

    Scott,

Would it be safe to use VM and FP on a freshly re-painted car?

I have awhile to wait before I can apply any wax.

    Thanks

Ive got a Nikon N80, tho I would hardly call it `entry level`.

Damn thing can do alot more than I`m capable of fully using.

I tend to take photos posted online with a pinch of salt, as Photoshop is a VERY powerful tool.

I posted a coupla pictures in another thread just to make the point.

Nobody could tell which photo was the original and which was `enhanced`.

Plus its a running joke that black cars ALWAYS look good.

yes, you can use VM and FP on a freshly painted car.

    Both contain no silicone.

Final Polish is said to be `body shop` safe, but I would contact Car Polishes to make sure you can use it on fresh paint. Vanilla Moose does have protective properties, so I wouldn`t use it until the paint is completely cured.

True, but you also don`t want to seal fresh paint either. :nixweiss

    Thanks Scott.

It`s only been a week since the car was painted and the only thing I have done to date was to apply a layer of IHG.

The car looks great and I sure don`t want to mess up a new paint job.

Think I will just have to force my self to be patient and wait till the paint is fully cured in about 6 more weeks.

Final polish is used by most body shops out here in staten island, once it is taken out of the spray booth and baked you can use it.

I use it all the time when i do work on fresh painted cars. even on cars that are painted the same day.

Since Car Polishes is located in New York (as is NYDetailer), it should be the same product. I haven`t tried Final Polish, but have used Vitreo (from the same supplier) , a very good product.

    Scott,

Would you put Carnuba wax over the moose wax? I`m thinking AIO, moose wax, carnuba. Correct me if this is somewhat redundant. I love my Klasse and I would much rather use that then the VM.

    Any advice?

I`d probably use AOI, Vanilla Moose and a carnuba. Moose Wax has chemical cleaners which may remove any filling properties of AIO. I think you would also be very pleased with Final Polish instead of AOI, but I`d wait until you run out before trying something else.

I certainly hope you are not insinuating I photoshop anything I post. Not only would I not have the first clue how to do it, but I would never misrepresent my work like that. I can send you the original prints I posted in this thread if you would like.
