Revive Your Faded Plastic Trim! BLACKFIRE Total Trim & Tire Sealant

I used the BLACKFIRE Total Trim & Tire Sealant on a black 2006 Honda Element that had lots of exterior trim. I would say most of this cars exterior is made out of plastic trim.

    Before pictures:

The Blackfire Total Trim & Tire Sealant has been applied to the top. The bottom is still dull and faded. Apply with an applicator, rub the product into the plastic trim, then wipe the excess off with a microfiber towel.

The right side is completely restored taking away the light faded color as shown on the left side.

    Whole completed bumper:
The Blackfire Total Trim & Tire Sealant has a thick, gel-like formula that penetrates for maximum restoration and protection making the plastic like new. Dries completely without any greasy, sticky residue. A great thing about this product is that it lasts for months, even in wet conditions.

If you do happen to get some of the Blackfire Total Trim & Tire Sealant on paint, it will not harm it because it does not contain dyes or colorants, the product will just wipe off.

Also this product works great on plastic mirrors!

Re: Revive Your Faded Plastic Trim! BLACKFIRE Total Trim & Tire Sealant

    Any updates?

I really needed to make a quick order the other day as I am driving out to California to visit my Mom next week, and while i`m down there i`m going to decon & coat her new prius.

The Only problem is, is that Autopia is currently out of CarPro Dlux for at least another two weeks or so….so I was kind of in a bind.

I ended up calling customer service about an hour ago and really quickly told him my story and he mentioned Blackfire Total Trim & Tire Sealant, so I said Yes on the fly.

Now, that I got a chance to read up about the product, I noticed I won`t be able to use it on my Moms wheels like I could have with the Dlux as this was the sole purpose of buying this product other then for the trim.

If anyone else had a chance to use this product that can give me any feed back, I`d greatly appreciate it!

    Thanks in advance!

You do know they revised the UTTG formula recently to "water-based", and it`s supposedly thinner now. I actually have never used the UTTG, but I have the WETS which is fantastic but definitely oily-feeling with a PD odor. I have some of the Blackfire stuff but haven`t used it yet.

Huh, I missed that, and I haven`t opened my new (pretty big) bottle of it. Guess I`ll find out eventually...

I think it was on the other forum I was gushing about what a great time it is to be a piece of auto trim, what with the coating-type restorers, and these great long-lasting trim sealants, you really can keep your trim in good condition, which was almost impossible in the old days.

Ya know, I never found it all that hard to keep trim in decent shape. Note that I`m *NOT* the kind of guy who does this stuff all the time; I let my vehicles get pretty bad between cleanups. But even when I was parking stuff outside 24/7, for some reason it was just never that big a challenge, even back in the days before all the Trim Products when all I used was (non-staining) LSP.
