Heard the same in the audio world as well, about silicones, and what damages they do.

That to think you`re doing yourself a favor, using armor all on all your nice power cords, and interconnects, and get this stuff on terminals, is again a product you won`t easily remove, and basically compromise-ruin an electrical connection.

Hey Todd, any updates on how the trim looks on that Tahoe? Also, would you use this product on the trim of a new vehicle as a protectorant?

Just shy of 3 weeks, the product looks "just applied". It could be used in this manner.

I used this on the cowl of my brothers range rover sport and it really made a huge difference. I think this is a great product. It is the only permanent trim restorer I have ever used.

For new cars, you can certainly use it. Just be aware that with brand new plastic, there is usually some mold release agents and other oils and silicone that may still gas out. This may cause what looks like bubbling in the C4 coating. It does go away after a while though. I did the roof rack on my XTerra as well as the plastic bumpers. Started to see these bubbles within the first few days, but they went away after about a month or so. The hotter the environment the car is in, the quicker they will go away, if they even show up at all.

Of course cleaning and prepping the plastic with a good APC and then wiping the plastic with GTechniq Panel Wipe or a similar product will help negate this effect.

You do realize Todd has moved on from moderating and testing at Autopia to the Rupes company right?

I have used C4 and it will last a long time. I re applied at about 18 months.

Far better than anything I have used before.
