Prima Banana Gloss Liquid Wax
Description:
"Banana Gloss is a premium liquid wax with a deep glossy shine. If you want easy, waxing with BG couldn`t be any easier. It works on hot paint, cold paint, in the sun or in the shade. It won`t stain trim or leave white residue. It dries almost instantly, so waxing becomes a quick and easy project.
If that wasn`t enough, BG will actually fill and conceal some pretty heavy paint swirls. Do you see spider webs when you look at your car in the sun? Try some BG. The improvement will be significant.
Banana Gloss has a complex resin that levels the paint while providing protection and durability. There is a touch of carnauba for added depth. Black paint looks like a deep pool of oil and paint with metal flake looks bass boat thick.
There is quite a bit going on here. You get easy application, paint cleaners, no white residue, trim safe, concealing and of course, protection. All that is left is durability. You should see a good 45-60 days on a daily driver, but with a wax this easy, you may not find out.
Prima Banana Gloss: Amazingly easy, simply stunning."

Vehicle: 2012 Dodge Challenger SRT8 Yellow Jacket Edition (owned by family friend)
Vehicle was detailed by me back in august and probably had not been cleaned since then, it is mostly kept in his shop under a car cover
ONR wash, bug removal, tar removal, speedy surface prep sponge fine grade
Prima Banana Gloss applied by hand via red ccs hand applicator
Application: The consistency is very fluid and thin and I found the bottle needed to be shook often to avoid becoming very runny coming out of the bottle. Other than that it applied very easily and spread across easily as well. I did lose a little bit out of the seams of the lid on the bottle, most likely due to the consistency being so thin.
Smell: *correction: just smelled this in the garage and i have to change my opinion. it does not smell good, nor horrible but great. kind of reminds me of petroleum
Wipeoff: At first I did the hood and then waited about 10 minutes and this stuff did not really dry up very much. It said it did not have a cure time on the bottle so for the rest of the vehicle I did one panel at a time, wipe one and then wipe off. Results were the same as letting it dry 10 minutes on the hood. Either way wiped up very easily and dusting was no problem. I even got a little on some trim and it wiped off with no residue.
Observations: This is marketed as a wax but it says it has a resin that levels the paint and it fills swirls so I would consider it a cleaner/glaze wax with limited protection. Maybe I`m wrong but thats what it seemed like after using it on two different vehicles so far.
Price: 19.99 16oz
Good Value: I`d say yes, I have used it on a challenger and a toyota sequoia and have only used about 15%.
Pros: The `paint leveling resin` took out some minor water spot etching and some bird remains that I would have normally reached for a cleaner/wax or aio product for. It left a very nice shine on the car. I opted not to top it since I will be back down there in two months and I would like to test the range of durability.
cons: unsure where this should go in the step routine, before wax/sealant used as glaze type product OR as wax type lsp
