    Review: 3D APC Orange Degreaser

Note: This was in accordance with 3D`s promotion.

3D APC - Orange Citrus Degreaser
    Price: 22oz. - $6.99 (1 Gal - $14.99)

    Packaging

I recently got this in and wanted to try it out on my engine bay cover that hadn`t been cleaned in a few weeks and had a layer of grime and other bits that have been kicked up from the flooding that has overtaken NW Vegas.

Quick picture of what I am working with .

    And a close up

After spraying it on, letting it dwell for 15-30 seconds or so then agitating with a Mother`s Detail Brush I was left with this much dirt remaining on the microfiber after wiping it clean.

    And the finished product

Overall the product did what is was supposed to do, it didn`t blow me away but for the price it`s definitely an economical option if you can pick it up locally. Compared to other APC`s that I have used such as Adam`s or Meguiar`s it was about equal in terms of performance, but it is biodegradable which is always good to see and I will keep it in mind when I run out of my current stock of APC.

Thanks for reading feel free to post up any questions or tips.

    Thanks for the review.

What do you think of 3D products as a whole? I don`t have any experience with them.

2012 I did a full engine detail around 2 months ago and dressed it with Meguiar`s Hyper Dressing. There was always a layer of grime that I just couldn`t get off or streaking from something that got on it that I couldn`t take off with products before, this one cut through it slightly better.

Overall performance wise is pretty average, but I do think their line has potential and they seemed genuinely interested in improving their products. The fact that they have dozens of stores and can be picked up locally and most products are very inexpensive is a bonus. So far I`ve tried the

Wax - Not bad but I hate the consistency
Towel Kleen - Awesome especially at $16/gallon
HD Polish - I want to like it because for a finishing polish it leaves much less oil than Menzerna or Optimum but I can`t figure out how to get it to quit dusting, I`ve tried a couple different ways and talked to David Fermani about it. I guess I just need to keep adjusting usage since they say not to prime the pad.

and this orange degreaser. Let me know if you want to try anything.

Did you try POXY or their paste wax? I haven`t tried the paste wax (have no interest), but I found the POXY to be outstanding. Really deep wet look on dark colors and seems to add a richness to lighter colors. It`s a sealnt/Montan wax hybrid and I`ve been getting 4+ months durability on a garaged at night car. Only takes about a dozen or so drops to do an entire car.

Can`t think of any particular brand, but looks like the results you get when you layer a carnuba wax over a pure sealant.

When you figure out how to keep HD Polish from dusting, let me know lol. I love Speed but it dusts some too.
