This is my review of Meguiar`s D114 on a pretty dirty car. You can`t fake the cleaning power of this stuff on video in real time!

    Excellent review.

FWIW - CG Hose Free EcoWash suds up way more than Megs D114.

Great review Roshan. Mike is right, EcoWash Suds great especially when adding the rinseless solution to your bucket first.

    Another nice review Roshan.

Your review follows along with mine. But I only had a small sample amount and only got to use it 2-3 times before I ran out.

I thought is smelled like "Blue Punch (Like you got a parties when you were a kid.)"

Good review. Only thing I would add regarding dilution ratios is that some compensation for heavy water may be helpful. Since some of the product`s polymers can become preoccupied by adhering to minerals in the water, a bit stronger mixture is a little safer and can offer better performance, IME.

Personally, when I do a rinseless wash (ONR or BFRW) I use a 1.5 ounces per 2.5 gallons mixture, which in total is slightly stronger than recommended. Seems to increase lubricity when washing and slickness when drying. I make 2.5 gallons because it gives me plenty of wash to do the job and leaves a bit left over to do the wheels. I once tried using 2 ounces of product, but the mixture seemed too strong and I didn`t like how it worked..IIRC, it was more difficult drying and clearing out the finish (i.e., it streaked a bit).

D114 is in fact a great rinseless product. Cleans like a champ and doesnt streak, and yes it does smell like kool aid.

However I have two gripes with the video review. One is why would you start at the bottom? Now when you go to the top water is going to drip all the way back down to the area you just washed and youll be doing double the work drying it. Second is why are you scrubbing a section over and over that you just cleaned with a towel that you showed was black? Maybe Im missing something but I am just confused to this technique.

great 2 points, i was wondering the same thing just didnt know how to ask them, wouldnt you be putting swirls in by using the same dirty side instead of flipping it over sooner?

Yeah I have to agree that this wasn`t the best showcase of proper technique.

I am a lot more methodical when I`m trying only to clean the car and not make a video. Trying to clean and make a coherent video is apparently too much for me lol.

I will definitely be more diligent to paying attention to what I`m doing next time. I knew I only had one shot of saying the right stuff (can only take dirt off the car one time!) so I was concentrating on what to say rather than on technique, which obviously isn`t the best thing to do.

    Thanks for the Vid.

d114 is great stuff. I have been using it for about a year now and about to buy another gallon soon. I use it with IPA, as a waterless, clean interiors(lightly soiled of course), and varies other jobs.

Great review, I`ve been wanting to try this stuff for awhile. Did you ever find out Mike`s secret recipe for mixing this with his IPA?

Re: Meguiar`s D114 Rinse Free Express Wash Review

Seemed like common sense to me. IMO, he washed the side because it`s easier shooting video there and it`s also one of the dirtiest parts of the car which better showcases the product`s cleaning abilities. It wasn`t a video teaching proper washing technique. Keep up the good work, Roshan. I appreciate your video reviews.
