So need one of these. I did find by removing the handle, the 6 inch can get into a little tighter areas.

good review roshan, i love mine. originally there weren`t too many pads available for the 3", but now there is a good variety out there.

You can use the 100mm (4") Rupes white pad for waxing as well. Snugly fits into most normal size wax containers and gives you a bit more coverage than the 3".

    Roshan,

I like your review, it`s honest and objective.

I agree with everything you said and personally feel that this is a quality machine designed for a specific purpose. While you could correct the paint on an entire car with this small machine it simply wasn`t designed for such large areas.

Slower speeds are more suitable for applying sealants and waxes but not for correcting. When you get nearer to the higher end of the speed range you`ll actually see and feel the pad rotating so this is a perfect speed for surgical correcting or possibly wet-sanding.

    Great job buddy!

Roshan your review nicely explains the pros, cons and applicable uses of the Griot`s 3" D/A.

One of the things that also make it beneficial in tight and narrow areas is the limited orbit of this machine. Often when working in areas where one could use a larger D/A with a smaller backing plate and pad it still may be subject to contacting unwanted surfaces. This machine is very focused in its orbit and allows for precise buffing.

    Excellent review

The head of the polisher is still too big for certain areas in my opinion, but what you say does make sense

Thanks for watching Steve, I`m loving mine too, especially with all the pad choices out there now

Thanks for the additional info... I don`t have the 4" Rupes pads, but it`s good to know

Thanks for the great response Bobby! I try to make my reviews as objective as possible and they are a quite a bit of work to make, but it`s all worth it when you get a response like this

Great point Buddy! Very true and something that should definitely be thought about when deciding to get one of these or not
