    Hate Winter Love Snobrum

This winter has been pretty brutal for me in WV, being raised in Florida snow scares me

Just wanted to take some time a do a short take on the Snobrum.

This tool is a must for people in snowy regions! Cleaning the car is quick I did my Acura and wife`s suv in under 10 mins. I haven`t tried it on my black acura since it has ultra soft paint and my fear of inducing scratches.

Ill let the pics do the talking :xyxthumbs:

I`m a big fan also. I like to pull the snow towards me instead of pushing. Feel like its easier. personal preference I guess

I love mine as well and have been using mine for about 3 years now. Only only complaint is that something happened to my adjustment knob and now I have to tape it to keep handle fully extended.

I`ve thought about getting one of these. They`re designed to make removing snow from your car or truck easier and inflict a minimal amount of damage.

Most of us use our arm or hand and I`m willing to bet the materials used to make the clothing that`s protecting us is not as soft as the snow broom.....

    Re: Hate Winter Love Snobrum

I use my Snobrum to clear the last two feet of snow from my roof--it made me nervous to think about dragging it across the car -- felt as if there was any grit on the surface it might get trapped between the Snobrum and paint surface.

Found this OXO brush at Bed, Bath and Beyond [ame=http://www.amazon.com/OXO-Good-Grips-Twister-Brush/dp/B007148MYO/ref=sr_1_2?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1360163318&sr=1-2&keywords=good+grips+oxo+snow+brush]Amazon.com: OXO Good Grips Twister Snow Brush: Home & Kitchen[/ame]

The bristles are flexible but not stiff and note how the ends of each bristle are feathered and very soft. You can rotate it 90` so you can pull snow off the roof or hood if you like. I removed the scraper portion so that there was no chance of scratching some adjoining surface. Third winter and doesn`t seem to be instilling any scratches in the paint.

hey Pat, my adjustment knob wasn`t working properly either. Good idea on the tape.

yea I agree, I tried not touching the surface as much after I got done with the hood. I am going to inspect it soon and see. I love how my neighbors use that $2.00 brush that you sweep with to clean the snow off...

    Re: Hate Winter Love Snobrum

I bought one last November on one of those sales here. After reading about it that it was supposed to be more safe on paint then a regular snow brush. I bought it so if we got 3" to 5" of snow while my car sat at work I would use it. After it arrived I have been kind of hesitant on using it because it sure seems stiff and don`t like the idea of hard foam touching the paint. All we have had is light snow but today it snowed a couple inches but I decided against using it and just cleared off the glass with the brush instead. Those of you that have used it have you noticed any marring on the paint? I would be curious.
