And all the hype about UPP is...

Absolutely true as far as I`m concerned. =D

My basis for comparison includes a low end TurtleWax paste, Meg`s NXT tech wax (which I thought was the best thing till now), and I`ve seen my good friend detail his car with Blackfire, and another with AIO.

After two coats of UPP, here are the results:

    UPP on the rims =)
(After 1 day of braking though, was much shinier yesterday! On the plus side, the brake dust seems to wipe off a lot more easily)

UPP is great stuff...car looks great!

LOL there was a forum a while back...(I`ll search and see if it`s there) that I started called "You know you`ve done a good job when..." and my first post was...

"You know you`ve done a good job when your paint reflects as much as your windows!" ---just like in one of your pics.

    Nice job.

Question, though...did you say you UPP`d the MOONROOF?:eek
Sure, it`s shiny, but how smooth is it, and how does it look in direct sunlight?

Hey all, thanks for your kind comments - very encouraging =D

Jeff, that`s right I UPP`d (haha I love how that`s a verb at DC) the moonroof, coz I read in one of the threads here a while ago that UPP is great on glass, as well as on rims. I have yet to use my windshield wipers, but since it is polymer based and not oil/fat based, I think it shouldn`t leave streaks. We shall see though hehe!

EBPcivicsi - I`ve seen your threads a lot and your car looks great =D
I try to avoid UPPing my trim though, because it has a matte sort of texture to it, and I don`t think UPP likes that too much. Leaves a sort of white haze on it, so I use Meg`s vinyl and rubber protectant to give it a nice glossy look. =D

    Thanks again guys

I had been using Blackfire on my sports car since Oct 2002 and recently tried UPP on the same vehicle after having great results with it on my daily drivers. The UPP seemed to produce a little more gloss and made the color look a little richer. I`d rate it above Blackfire based on my experience with it.

UPP is my favorite to date.
On white, it is polish with SSR1 and then 2 coats of UPP ... Reflective, shiney, wet ... WOW
After UPPing the rims, unless they are really bad, I just clean them with Spray and Wipe. I works great and preserves that slick feel so the dust will slide off easier next time.
One more plus ... One bottle goes a long long ways!

Another comparison. Yesterday I tried Wolfgang on a bright Silver car. Last fall I used UPP on the same vehicle. In my opinion, UPP has more gloss and a slicker feel than Wolfgang. UPP is still my top choice in polymers. The only aspect of Wolfgang that I found to be better than UPP was the smell.

I agree! I thought the Wolfer`s darkened the silver and the UPP made it shimmer. I opt for the UPP. At least on the light colors.
