Nope, nothing like that. Now I do remove any excess at the end of application. The stuff that survives the MF buff is on there pretty good.
BTW - something I forgot mention, any excess you get on paint (OK, maybe it`s just me ), wipes away without a fuss. I do try to address reasonably quickly, though.
So the New Look Trim Gel is looking more and more like a competitor for UTTG. I will have to try the sample I have. It`s just been sitting after I got some UTTG because I didn`t want the streaking again it was a pain to clean up.
Thanks for another great review of the Chemical Guys Product. When I run out of the Trim Gel that I have I`m going to give CG a try.
I`ve never used a gel on trim before. Sounds interesting, I have some that says it can be used on trim so I will try it out first before trying CG`s.
Thanks for the review too- I bet you have shelves of Chemical Guys products now
Great review! I used this stuff last night on my Armada which has pretty weathered trim, I liked it a lot.

1 coat + buff dry on tires:
1 coat + buff dry on trim:
Overall I`m a big fan so far, will post pics in a couple weeks on durability...
Nice review. The CG line is certainly getting a good overall review on here. Don`t recall seeing many negative comments on any of their products that are being reviewed.
Current: 2015 Volvo S60 Platinum - Ember Black Metallic
Past: 2011 Jaguar XF Premium - Ebony, Barley/Truffle
Past: 2007 Celestial Blue Metallic C70 T5

I really like the look of it on the trim. Hopefully it has some durability.
Looks like really good stuff. Keep us updated on the durability without the harsh washes.
Nice turn around on those aray. They look like new in those pics.
Update:
Due to popular demand I purchased UTTG last week and tried it. Much less viscous than CG NLTG. Surprisingly, this made it a bit more difficult to apply (it didn`t leave a thick, dark trail like CG NLTG to see where you`ve been) and didn`t spread as far (needed more product to cover the same area. After applied, the gloss is about the same.
Unfortunately, direct durability studies are not underway (they are on different cars). Sorry. I applied UTTG to my year old Hyundai (with perfectly new looking trim) so I`m not even sure I`ll be able to tell if it wears off.
Overall, it seems to be a very good product. Hopefully in the near future I`ll be able to try it on a car with a bit of faded trim to see how its restorative ability goes.
The only downside that I have to Ultima Tirm and tire is that it doesnt really restore as well as some other dressing I have used. I need to get some of this CG stuff with my next order.
Please keep us updated on the durability.
I don`t think it has anywhere near the durability of UTTG. IIRC, NLTG is silicone based.
