    Cost: $12.99 for 16 ounces

With my work schedule and the crappy weather here in Delaware my Dodge Ram was in serious need of a wash. So with some much needed Xmas vacation and some new detailing products to try out (Master Blaster and CG Glossworkz) I decided to brave the chilly cold and get my truck ready for Santa

Since my truck was kinda dirty I thought it would be a good chance to try out the new CG Glossworkz Gloss Booster/Paint Cleanser. I normally use DG 901 for my maintenance washed but have also have CG Citrus Wash and Gloss (CWG) which I use on occasion when I want to strip my LSP for polishing or putting on a new sealant. I decided to try Glossworkz to see if would be a good choice for cleaning my built up grime.

Here are some pics as I was prepping.

The direction state that Glossworkz is pretty concentrated so I added 1/2 ounce to 3/4 ounce to about 3-4 gallons of water. The directions called for 1 oz to 4-5 gallons of water. I figured if it is as concentrated as CWG then anything over 1 oz was going to strip my LSP.

Buckets filled with about 3.5 gallons of water. Nice suds and ready to go with my grout sponge.

Can`t have dish pan hands Sorry it was kinda chilly out.

Wash all done. I had to hit the bucket one time with the hose to refill. Suds lasted through out the wash.

    Observations and Thoughts

I feel that Glossworkz is a great soap for maintenance washes and LSP stripping. The ability to vary the dilution to tailor it to your needs is nice. I found it to have great lubricity, cleans very well, and rinses very clean. I did notice that my truck looked great after the wash. I am not sure if the gloss enhancers had anything to do with it.

It would be a very economical product with the dilution ratios for maintenance washes. I only used about 1/2 oz and with a 16 oz bottle I would get about 30-32 washes in a 16 oz bottle for $12.99. You can always double the dilution if you need to strip our LSP.

Nice review Pat. I might have to try this out soon. I`ve been curious about CGs other car washes since I got HoneyDew Snow Foam.

    Thanks for the review.

You mentioned LSP stripping. Does Glossworkz strip and if so at what dilution since you did not mention one? Some soaps will not strip at any dilution.

I was always under the impression that Glossworkz was similar to CWG its LSP stripping ability.

Al..I just looked on the bottle and it did not mention LSP stripping. I did some searching and it looks like Glossworkz won`t strip your LSP.

However, I checked my bottle of CWG and it says to use 2oz for 4 gallons of water for "paint cleaning". I am sure that since it is citrus based it would probably remove your LSP at the higher dilution.

    Nice review Pat!

Glossworkz will strip LSP if you do 2-3 ounces for 4-5 gallons.
It just not as effective at removing LSP as Citrus Wash and Gloss.

CG has really nice soaps and waxes.

Re: CG Glossworkz Gloss Booster/Paint Cleanser Review

    Nice review!
IME with this product its very mild, a true maintenance shampoo that in no way will strip your LSP. Its really for vehicles that are very frequently maintained, ie washed weekly. The cleaning ability just isnt there, but the gloss it leaves is pretty remarkable, and lubricity is good as well.
