Re: The single most effective detailing product I`ve ever used!

As I said, I used it on light metallic, so marring was not easy to see(if there was any). Garry is a very reliable source, so, if he didn`t notice any marring on black, that`s good enough for me. I think you all will be amazed how much more efficient and easy the block is compared to clay. I am!
I use the Magna Tech and haven`t noticed any marring either. I use two buckets: one with soapy water to apply and a 2nd bucket of plain water to rinse the sponge.

I also use absolutely no pressure on the sponge; just hold it lightly and keep moving it back and forth until I get that "smooth" feeling. Purchased at ADS also.

Technique is more than half the battle! Apparently you should be praised for not inducing marring.

All that said the one I was using did its job, but I stopped using it. Maybe these new ones such as what the OP posted are upgrades from the one I had.
    Dave,
I am/was in the same boat as you. My distributor gave me a couple to try out before they were released to the masses/available to the public. This was a few years ago. It did an alright job but marred more than I cared for. I used several different lube combinations and got the same results each time. I too am thinking what you are, maybe they are upgraded, re-newed, refreshed, redesigned, and so forth. I would TRY one again (if it was given to me) to see if my thought process is right, but I wouldn`t spend the money on one and prove myself wrong. I don`t know, could be better, could be the same.

I noticed the one from AT says you can get up to 20 cars on the sponge . I can get that on a regular clay bar.

Im going to wait and see what the rest of you guys think after you try it . I also want to know how its going to wear over time and if it still will be effective once it used several times.

Well sure, that link to ACC is a rip-off right now because AG has them on BOGO....

I am still a bit curious how the Ultima lubricant compares to the more mainstream stuff most of us have and use.

I didn`t know they were on BOGO. That`s more realistic.

I have a feeling the gel might be better than most lubricants.

I have the elastrofoam kit coming in on Tuesday along with some DODO Born to Be Slippy. I have DP Rinseless Wash and Gloss already. I`ll compare all of them with the sponge next week when I detail my car. P.S. It`s suppose to be in the low 70s all week where I live.

I just ordered the Magna sponge from ADS. I am going to start out using it on glass and my wheels until I feel comfortable with it. Any reasons why it can`t used effectively for this?

"The single most effective detailing product I`ve ever used"

Was in 1987 when I was on my way for some RR when I stop and spent a week in Tokyo at a old friends place and I saw a clay bar bring used for the first time ( first I even heard of it ) and was blown away by how it work and what it did. I had to wait a few years before it reach over here on the east coast to get my hands on one.

Since alot of you are getting the sponge, let us know how you like it and how well it does.
