    Question Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish

Has anyone used this? I`ve been using it as a third-step polish today on my truck, and have had mixed reaction to it. I think it leaves a nice finish, however I am wondering if it has any fillers in it based on reading the description on the labeling. Also, it has left a couple of hard-to-remove areas of residue.

Also - after I finish polishing tonight, I plan to wash tomorrow before applying a couple of applications of BF Wet Diamond (one early and one late). Would anyone suggest topping this sealant from prior experience? My original thought was to keep it on as LSP, and add another application after the next wash or two, but I am open for suggestions.

Just fishing for ideas, I suppose.
I still don`t believe in grit guards.

    Re: Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish

I haven`t used BF Enhancing Polish, but I have used BF Wet Diamond. I topped it once, with Midnight Sun on my red Prelude. Don`t remember seeing much of a difference. Maybe a little less reflective, but I definitely felt a difference. Surface was way slicker before application of Midnight Sun.
I also used Wet Diamond as the LSP on my pearl white IS350. The extra reflection of Wet Diamond by itself looked really, really good, so I just left it as is.

I have used it before and I almost equated it to a glaze with some filling action. Although I did not have any issues with remocing the product after usage. Actually I have found the Blackfire line one of the easier products to remove. I have not tried topping the wet diamond yet and have used it as an LSP.

In short, I continued using it a my final polish/burnish. I wound up washing and wrong down with an ipa solution prior to adding BF wet diamond as my lsp. This was my first time using the BF product line, and I gotta say that I am impressed. BFWD looks great.

10 percent product and 90 percent prep you will get good results from nearly everything you use.

Multiple applications really kick up the slickness. BFWD is a very nice looking sealant.

Question Re: Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish

    Jared,

Since you have experience with both of them, how does Prima Amigo compare to BFGEP?

    Re: Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish

I`m not sure I could really compare them, as I used them for totally separate purposes - at least in my mind. I used them both with totally different intentions, so I really wouldn`t know where to start.

Amigo - One of the better glazes I have used. Pretty good longevity for something I put on to "cover up" marring, and it looked really nice.

BFGEP - I used it as a final polish / jewel / burnish step with both a Daen wash AND an IPA wipedown prior to applying LSP. SO if it had any filling qualities, I hope I negated them prior to applying the BFWD.

I`m not sure I would have sought out BFGEP (it was in a kit I won) because I haven`t really seen much talk about it. I debated whether or not to use it (versus something like Meg`s SwirlX), and sorta decided right at the final moment to go ahead with it.

    Thanks for the feedback.

I`m considering Amigo and Epic for the wife`s 09 black paint.
