Pocket`s Review of the Speed Master Wheel Brush

Well I had received a Daytona Speed Master Wheel Brush (going to use Daytona Brush) from Autogeek thanks to Dwayne

I said I would do a review of the brush and post up some pictures so here is the review.

At first glance of the brush I loved it it looked just like I had hoped and a little bigger actually.... appeared to be very well made nothing sharp or pointy plenty of bristles on it etc... Very good-looking product!

I couldn`t wait to try it out when I washed my vehicle (as many of you know 2007 F-150). My truck has a very severe problem with the brakes "dusting" its horrible . So I figured the brush would help me get to the places that I usually never could reach!!

So I received it and used it when I did a quick wash...no picutres... on another weekend I went riding on my quad sooooooo truck got a little muddy because I took that into the trails as well . Perfect! the wheels were all muddy inside and out the truck was a mess. Time to wash

I did my usual process of doing the tires, rims, wells, and running boards first....but, I had a new tool in the arsenal. I had already used this brush once before when I did a quick wash and wish I had taken pictures than (lots more brake dust that it got) oh well this does the job .

I used the brush with great results its long bristles and long reach work excellent . The hand protector really works at helping your hands from getting hit too. I would recommend this brush to everyone and anyone its a very good asset to me. Could I live without it?? Well not really lol I really wasn`t paying any attention to my rims "barrels" when I washed before, now I can hit them up really quick with the Daytona Brush and BAM!!! it`s all clean It gets all the brake dust off from inside the barrels and really does enhance the look of the rim! I will be using it every time I wash from now on

The only thing that I did not like about the brush was that it could have been a little more sturdier right at the handle and than get soft at the beginning of the bristles so you could still bend it....I wasn`t having a problem but sometimes it would just bend no real big deal.

I heard a lot of people saying that they couldn`t get really caked on brake dust off with it and neither could I but hey, we have a hard time getting caked on brake dust off on the outside of the wheel why expect a brush to do it on the inside lol.....wasn`t expecting it to get off what I had in there I need to take off my wheels before the winter and get it clean.

Overall I would say put this on your holiday wish list`s

    Products used in this Review:

re: Pocket`s Review of the Speed Master Wheel Brush

First just a quick walk around to show you how dirty she was

After a very extensive rinse off of the body and undercarriage

What was left on the ground under the car lol

    What I used

    Starting on the Wheels

    spraying some APC

Using long handle brush for wheel well

    Rinsing off

    Finished

Cleaning the tire (some brush from autozone and APC works great!!)

Now cleaning the face of the rim with the short handel brush and APC

    Afters of the Rim

    Before and After

Nice photo shoot Pockets. Fire truck - red.

Question: I noticed your bottle of Bold N Bright has a flip top? Do you apply (squirt) it to an applicator? I had added a sprayer to mine.

    Nice write up.

Heck, I didn`t know you could write that well.

If you used s&r with it, it would have gotten the caked on brake dust.

    Good tool.

That shaft looks pretty scrawny I think I would bend that thing in a heart beat.

I have a cone shaped brush made for wheels but it is much sturdier than that.

re: Pocket`s Review of the Speed Master Wheel Brush

What are these Poorboy`s products you speak of? Where did you find them and why did you use them?

I haven`t even opened my Daytona brush. I bought mine a while back for a back up to the original EZ Detail Brush. As far as the shaft being scrawny, my EZ has held up quite well for well over a year (probably longer just haven`t gone back into my file to find the invoice).

PB, so S&R will work better than say 4:1 or even 1:1 APC at cleaning the inside of the wheels? So why doesn`t Pocket`s have a bottle or three? Holding out on him?
