    Squirt or spray

Which do you prefer for using for QD squirt or spray.???

I never really thought much about it until a few years ago when I started mixing different products like FC&S with AW and all my spray bottles were full so I used a small squirt bottle.

When a spray bottle sets form awhile sometimes they need several pumps to prime.

The pump requires several pumps to wet a MF Towel where it only takes one quick squirt.

I find I can do a QD faster with the squirt bottle instead of several pumps a quick squirt on the towel and you are back to wiping.

I now have several 8 ounce bottles with a small squirt top on them and they never wear out like a pump.

They take up less space for storing in a detailing bag so I prefer the squirt bottle.

I have several pump bottles that were purchase for just such a regimen. I tanked their use when it was not getting enough product on the paint surface. Keep in mind that the vehicle was parked outside 24/7 and dust was prevalent. Except when in use my vehicle is now stored inside the garage. I may have to get out the retired spray bottles and give it a go.

    Re: Squirt or spray

If you are referring to the typical trigger spray bottle, I think I would much prefer it over a squirt bottle.
A fine mist to give some coverage is of value to me with a QD, S&W or Aqua Wax, and I think I would have to almost soak a MF if I were just wiping the product on. Not to make it work, but to make me feel comfortable that I wasn`t wiping my paint with a dry MF.
Actually, my preference is the small pressurized hand held sprayers that are available from several places for relatively little cost. I have been using one from the Family Dollar Store for S&W since early May and really like it.

    Re: Squirt or spray

I do the hood and roof first and by squirting plenty on the hood the towel becomes wet very quickly.
I then squirt it on the towel and do the sides.

Doing it like that will use more produce because if I mist it on I can do nearly the whole car before the towel is wet.
I think I get more product on the paint than a spray unless you just keep pumping.

I have really got into this mixing today my wife drove her Explorer 100 miles and when she got home I went over it with a mix of S&W with SG added.
